share the news of the untimely death of dr isam salih osman on september 29 2023 dr osman was head of the vascular and endovascular department and director of the operating room for king saud medical city in riyadh ksa he was also president of the sudanese association of vascular surgeons and country advisor for the royal college of surgeons of england may allah bestow on him his mercy and forgiveness in 2022 dr osman was a leading subject matter expert in sama s surgery echo after the war broke out in partnership with the sudan association of vascular surgeons he launched sama s trauma echo which recruited global experts in trauma from all over the world to share their experiences in managing trauma patients with the trauma surgeons in sudan background purpose on april 15th 2023 civil war broke out in khartoum surgeons in sudan are saving lives under extremely harsh conditions there is a need to rapidly expand their knowledge in trauma management in partnership with the sudan association of vascular surgeons trauma echo trains junior surgeons in sudan and other low resource settings in managing patients with traumatic injuries in a war zone it will be a case based discussion with 20 mins for didactic by a global subject matter expert 20mins for a learner in sudan and other low resource settings and 20 minutes for interaction and q a overview july 8th to
