earth we love all things dog and welcome new friends wednesday july 6 2016 we s gonna start writin again we miss dogster so much we just gotta start writing in our diary again it s the middle of 2016 for goodness sakes some of our friends have passed and we miss you fizzy whitley and duncan thanks for continuing to write mrjack freckles and zaidie and all the others we are gonna play some catch up on our blog reading too of course mommy is on the book of faces you can find her there at sarah m we just got back from camping over canada day in our trailer it was a lot of fun here are some recent being big slackers we are terrible blog writers we promise to be more prolific in our musings kay so da news from newfoundland dere are tons and tons of snow we are really sick of it there s nowhere left to put it and mommy and mama have bad backs are real tired of shovelling spring got to be coming soon right mommy and mama went on a cruise and stayed for a few days in florida mommy says it was her sanity vacation we don t have a lot of sun so it was wonderful to go down in the carribean we saw puerto rico turks and caicos and st maarten it were beautiful meanwhile us pups had to stay home in the depressing winter we had a lovely dogsitter that works and mama s law firm and he was really sweet to us rudy s surgery for her chest lumps got postponed as we are 90 sure they are fatty lumps and we didn t want to put her through that quite yet she is gonna haf to have it done in the next month or two though here are some pics of us while we were absent from da blogosphere please forgive us love rudy and izzy dis are our winter blues pics this is our petsitter matt he was real nice to us when mommy and mama went on da cruise dis was our snow as of last week florida with da beautiful sunsets ahh keeps a canadian girl going look at that blue ocean ok talk to you later posted by unknown at 12 51 pm 4 comments monday november 10 2014 another surgery mommy is super sad that i rudy haf to have another surgery it is gonna happen on thursday cause a few more lumps popped out on my chest there are 6 actually and even though they are small they are in a kind of cluster which is causing some concern to the vet and us so we are going to do a biopsy extraction the vet will try to get as much out as possible and hopefully it is just fatty lumps but of course we haf to send them away to be sure and if course the vet lab is not in our province so we will have to wait 10 days or so for the results please put your paws together for a little prayer for me mommy will update on thursday when i get out of surgery so soon after having my leg lump removed arrrgh posted from bloggeroid posted by unknown at 8 02 pm 3 comments tuesday september 16 2014 i had my surgery hey everyfur rudy here today was ruff i had no breakfast to start i knew it were only going to go downhill from there yup i was right mama took me to the vet and i had to stay all day i hads to have da surgery for my lumps and while i was under anesthetic i had to have a dental the indognity well i has pearly whites again now thank you very much although i didn t see much wrong with them in the first place the vet said my teeth were very good for an 8 year old and i didn t have to have any extractions the lumps came out easy apparently so the vet was happy with that the fatty lump by my thigh popped right out the other lump lower on my leg was a bit more suspicious so we had that sent away to a pathologist in ontario for testing we should know in about 7 10 business days sigh mommy says if she ever wins the millions of dollars on the lottery she s gonna set up a good vet lab here in newfoundland cause it s torture having to wait that long anyway the second lump came out fine too and they got all of it so that s good too i am pretty out of it now mommy gave me some rice and wet food with my pain pill and i m resting on my nice bed now mommy gots a few more grey hairs but hey i m worth it thank you everyfur for your prayers i know some of you gave power of the paw on the book of faces and twitter we love you all here are some pics of today when mommy got me after my very trying no good day me and joan dr marshall s lovely vet assistant who was with me in surgery the whole time when i came home izzy had to smell me all over to make sure i was okay here is the incision by my thigh several stitches there because of the size of the fatty lump the other lump was lower down the stitches will have to come out in about 10 days here i am mommy says looking stoned i still got that stoopid pink bandage off pretty quick that was where my iv was luckily i m kinda looped so i m not at my incision sites you can t see my pearly whites but they re there love you all rudy posted by unknown at 7 17 pm 4 comments wednesday august 13 2014 no surgery yet so i did not have my lumpectomy today the vet called after the initial bout of bloodwork and my liver values were up and to be prudent the mommies and vet thought it best to do a liver function test takes a few hours and postpone the surgery hopefully the values are up because of my daily prednisone for the dermatitis what they do is take a fasting blood test then let you eat then take your blood again three hours later so mean ole mommy starved me from 12 last night till 8 a m this morning and all they had to do was two stoopid blood tests no surgery for lumps no dental no nothin meanwhile mommy just about had a stroke waiting for the phone to ring it finally did after a long day and the vet said she looked at the results and she is fairly sure the high levels were due to the prednisone but to be on the safe side she s gonna check with an internist and get back to us so phew mostly good news but no lump removed and until we hear back from the internist we won t schedule the surgery seeing how it s not for life saving reasons or anything those two blood tests for the liver function 450 i am now a 1 263 890 dog by my approximimation love rudy p s continue the prayers ok if the internist thinks the liver values are too high then we ll have to look at more treatment and that s not even considering the stoopid lump all of this takes longer cause there is no stoopid vet lab on our island p p s say a prayer for fizzy s grandpaw too he s in the hospital we wuff you fizzy and furmily p p p s here s some nice prayers and love and good wishes needed first of all we haf to say that mommy is a big ole ninny for posing us in this ridiculous getup we are outraged and are complaining to the appropriate authorities secondly miss rudaroo has to have a lumpectomy tomorrow and since she has to be under general anasthetic we are also getting her teeth cleaned the lump is a little suspicious so the vet wants to send it away to a lab mommy is a nervous wreck all prayers and love and good vibes and well wishes and everything needed the worst part is that we won t get the results for probably two weeks
