kendall and sharon batson kendall and sharon batson the spokane batson clan wednesday november 3 2010 little guys okay this post is full of pictures of the 3 little guys the events are mostly in reverse order but i m too lazy to fix it so there here is a little snippet of what s been going on with the batson boys lately harvest party at preschool eli loves his class and his teachers he frequently likes to give every friend a hug goodbye when it s time to go home the kids did a parade around the school and it was so cute to see them strut their stuff eli and noah wanted to play jenga so i showed them how to do it they didn t exactly play by the real rules but they did a pretty good job of taking blocks out without it tipping over the next few pictures are from october 8th just hanging around during one of eli s soccer sessions happy times every year on labor day weekend spokane does pig out in the park downtown at riverfront park there are lots of food vendors and fun things going on we took all the kids and they had a blast noah on a gigantic slide he couldn t get enough of it eli on the carosel the ride wasn t nearly long enough for him he would have stayed on there all day sno cones need i say more eli wearing an nra hat should this be scary i have no idea what day this was just lucas hanging out and being his normal easy going self love this kid eli s awarded 6 merit badges he also was awarded his star scout really he s super close to his life scout rank which is the last one before eagle he has worked really hard and sped right along in boy scouting we re really proud of you eric eric also just finished his first football season his team was the mead jr panthers it was a learning season for eric there were 22 kids on his team and all but he and 4 others had played together for 5 years he toughed it out though there were a few really rough practices they only lost one game and made it to the championships for their age sadly they lost in the last game but that s not too shabby for his first year eric is 42 we didn t get a lot of good pictures but at least it looks like a football game huh posted by shurnuandbeagsly at 9 03 pm no comments soccer star i think i ll let these pictures speak for themselves eli had his first season of soccer they didn t have any real games exactly but don t tell him he loved every second of it on we were almost to the school and he said mom we forgot to say the morning plair that s eli speak for prayer i ll confess it s actually pretty rare for us to have a morning family prayer we nearly always do in the evening but not so often in the morning anyway this was the 2nd time he brought it up and just as i did the first time i asked if he would like to say one for us in the car he today here is his picture that he colored in his sunbeam class yesterday i guess it s of his family i have no idea what the big blue squiggly is probably something that makes perfect sense in eli world the faces are the family obviously guess which one is noah that s right the one with the tall spiky hair i love it so just a few minutes ago i was sitting down feeding the baby and eli was back in his room he was being really quiet usually that means he is up to something hiding something eating something he shouldn t coloring on something he shouldn t etc you get the picture all of a sudden he comes bouncing out of his room saying mom look what i made and here is what he made can i just say how much i love this child i should say it more and out loud many times a day because as much as he drives me to pull out my hair he is so incredibly amazing i can t even believe he s mine i love you little man posted by shurnuandbeagsly at 7 21 pm 3 comments sunday may 30 2010 uncle rex house we took a recent short trip over to the west side that s what people in eastern washington call western washington we spent a couple of nights at kendall s brother s house the whole thing was pretty spontaneous and it turned out so well we had a bbq on the monday night it was pretty amazing that on that short notice 2 of kendall s other siblings were able to attend with their significant others we had 4 of the 8 brothers and sisters as well as 9 out of the 21 grandchildren in one spot at one time pretty good for no advance planning 6 little boys they were in heaven having each other to play with well i guess lucas didn t have a clue but if he knew any better he would have been super excited matthew noah paul andrew eli and lucas rex and angie thanks for hosting guys it was so much fun ben and lacey awe too cute the girls beauties having a ball togther eli and matthew in their favorite place dirt i joke now that they were twins separated before birth they got along so well and neither one of them wanted the other to go away ever noah enjoyed some personal time on the trampoline lucas was just happy to watch everyone doing their different things what a happy kid cousins eli and payge making french toast it was so much fun and i m glad that we grownups had time to talk and hang out as well as giving the cousins lots of needed play time thanks rex and angie for having us we love you posted by shurnuandbeagsly at 10 56 pm 1 comment visiting grandparents we finally decided that we needed to visit grandmas and grandpas i say that plural because all of a sudden they live really close to each other my parents and kendall s parents now live just about 4 1 2 miles apart pretty cool huh the kids are having a great time and i think they now are convinced that they will always see both sets of grandparents on any given visit both g g s happened to come up to spokane for kendall s graduation too so the kids are getting used to the idea of 2 grandmas and 2 grandpas fun i m really happy that they can have this time together we ll have a traditional bbq for memorial day and i ll get good pics of everyone i promise eli loves to hold his baby brother he s really proud of his accomplishments as a big brother rare moment our two oldest playing together thanks g g batson for building the sandbox it is truly magic grandpa batson is good at putting kids to work i don t say wow amazing oh yeah and he calls everything wonderful too july 23 2009 since about may or so eli has been very interested in how old he is when we ask him he says i freezer old i made the mistake once of giving him 3 of some sort of treat saying that he got 3 because he s 3 years old now anytime i give him anything he says but i freezer old meaning i must give him 3 a couple of weeks ago we were going to play with the huismans eli knew he would see greg and he started asking mommy greggars freezer old too yes eli greggars is 3 years old just like you he thought for a moment and then figured out oh he same big are me i love 3 year old grammer eli has also memorized when his birthday is when we ask him he says my burfday is febrary since his birthday is on the 5th i showed him that he could hold up all 5 fingers now when we ask him he says really loudly my burfday febrary fift with whole lot of spit and a very proud extended high five style hand today at the park noah was having a blast climbing up the slide it was a fairly tall slide and he felt very accomplished when he would get to the top he d hang his head over and look for either me or eli then say what doing then he d laugh and slide on down this was repeated a bunch of times some of noah s phrases lately where are you oh there i are i wanna hide usually under a blanket or a table etc he ll tell us a whole lot of gibberish that we don t understand while holding his hands out palms up like he s explaining something then he says k very know it all like we should know exactly what he s talking about 11 09 08 don t mess with me this is said as he waves his finger at me and gives me a squinted eye look september 2008 i wanna like pirate as he climbs up and sits on top of the toilet tank anyone seen that
