pink fresh studio blog www pinkfreshstudio com under monthly challenges here is my page i took inspiration from the variety of hearts and the words of love and some close ups i used an epoxy badge from simple and sweet and the puffy sticker words you got this and yay from office hours you are awesome from indigo hills 2 phrase stickers so a bit of a mix of everything the title much love comes archi scraps alien invasion over at archi scraps this month they are using domes as there inspiration you can find the challenge here here is the inspirational picture add a dome to your creation here is my interpretation i used a dome shaped space ship and dome shaped aliens journaling says futuro or futuro house is a round prefabricated house designed by matti suuronen of which fewer than 100 were built during the late 1960s and early 1970s the distinctive flying saucer like shape and airplane hatch entrance has made the houses popular among collectors the futuro is composed of polyester plastic and fibreglass measuring 4 metres high and 8 metres in diameter there is a future by the go cart track at the grand prix training centre 465 mcdonalds rd south morang vic 3752 in australia this one formerly stood on the edge of a 1970s housing estate in apollo parkways north of greensborough where it was used as the estate agent s sales office for the subdivision it stood on the corner of the diamond creek road and plenty valley drive i remember it being there when i was a kid it was doubly fascinating to us because there was one of those giant spherical water towers behind it the type that we used to nickname chupa chups for obvious reasons the water tower has gone and the ufo was relocated to south morang where it remains today yes it is being used as a storeroom but still retains its original kitchen and bathroom fitout within the now open sign in the windows dates from that period it was very innovative at the time i loved it from the first time i saw it and it s so good that we still get to see it after all these years the futuro was featured on the cover of the autumn 2010 issue of architect victoria magazine with a short article appearing inside the magazine the history of the building is briefly retold with a recent collage of photographs on the front cover this magazine a special themed issue devoted to post second world war heritage can be perused hi friends over at mystical scrapbooks they are having an eight week scrapping challenge called scrapbooking gourmet week one is amuse bouche an amuse bouche is a bite sized hors d oeuvre there may be one or more served on the plate and generally they follow a theme they are different from appetizers in that they are not ordered from a menu by patrons but are served free and according to the chef s selection alone criteria use two or three small photos lots of white space technique layering kit item sequins here is my take on the challenge teddy i used three small photos and made little bite size scrapping clusters each cluster is delicate and small just like the chefs amuse bouche you could pop each one in your mouth and some close ups and thankyou for a great first challenge donna and friends over at mystical scrapbooking they are having a not the cyber crop challenge using book covers for inspiration you can get to the challenges here only a few days to go to get your entries in challenge 1 be inspired by one or both of these book covers above here is my take on the challenge home comfort here are some close ups and loved incorparating the circle and things of comfort around the house and a few flower clusters aswell the second challenge for not the cyber crop is to get your inspiration from this book i went with a bit of a wimsical page titled sitting by the path this is my daughter when she was a little tacker trying to put her shoes on here are a few close ups and the third not the cyber crop challenge uses the book below here is my take on the book cover inspiration titled before and after journaling says you don t need a time machine when you have a make up artist for a sister this is my niece tillie getting made up for her year 10 formal i also march you can get to their challenge site here this month they are taking their inspiration from book covers most of the design team are big book lovers and they make wonderful inspiration for challenges be inspired by this book cover here is my entry called young at heart i went with large tringle shapes in different colour tones here are some close ups and really enjoyed the triangle shape challenge which is not something i would normally scrap the second challenge is to create a layout from this book cover heres what i came up with it s not the home we love i used the colour pink pink splotches pink house embellies and added a quote about home here are some close ups and there is only one week to go so you better get yourselves over to mystical scrapbooking and join in the fun for the feb cyber crop at mystical scrapbooking you can get to the challenges here the first challenge is is a tic tac toe i used the line more than one photo more than two layers and one or more numbers growing up my adam when he was 5 showing off his thomas the tank engine backpack and some close ups and the second challenge is challenge 2 pick a subject choose any subject that kids learn at school use the subject as the inspiration for your page i picked sewing and textiles as my subject life is short my son jarred out having a good time with his friends and a few close ups and the third
