was that i had to find something to do to pass the time i actually completed a drawing not one of the ones i had been working on though nope i started a whole new drawing oh well it s another one to add to the portfolio posted by jojo in drawings tags bald eagle graphite reply crocheted swans february 18 2016 i made this for my aunt as a christmas gift the christmas before last i made one in blue for my uncle it was a lot harder than i first thought it would be and definitely took longer than i thought it would i worked on it for about three weeks i think in hours it took around 15 no less graphite nightmare before christmas reply goals february 10 2016 all the people i used to be friends with when i was younger seem to have exciting goals and ideas for what they want to do in life all i want to do in life is be a good woman to a man and a good mother to his children i don t have any elaborate plans it s that simple i can t think of anything that would give me a greater sense of fulfillment sometimes it makes me feel like there s something wrong with me i definitely feel out of place most girls my age are starting careers or at least in school still that s just not the life didn t go through my old sketchbook and find them even if i did that s not cheating i don t care i drew it so it counts i m putting them in there because i can and no one can stop me that s 4 down 44 to go posted by jojo in drawings tags graphite rose skulls reply tux january 29 2016 this is tux i crocheted him back in november he s the mascot logo for linux that isn t the reason why i made him though i only crocheted him as in just did the hand work by the way i didn t actually make the pattern for him i found one and then altered it for myself i made him because he meant something to someone i care deeply for i guess in a way i made it for him but i think i mostly made it for myself to help me cope something happened and i m not able to speak to that someone like i used to it was hard for me to deal with that for a few weeks because it was such an abrupt change so i made tux he keeps me company now it s not exactly the same but it really did help me i don t need him as much now because i ve gotten used to not having that someone around to the point where now it s just normal if my math is correct there are over 6 000 stitches it s the largest thing i ve made and i m surprised i finished it it s also the first stuffed animal i made it took me a little over two weeks mostly because i had to start over twice about his right wing he doesn t like to talk about it there was some fighting someone brought a knife and things just got out of control the truth is by the time i got to making his wings i was tired of working on him i guess you can say i got bored so i never made the other one the sad part is it would only take me maybe 10 minutes to make it s okay though i love him just the way he is also i was able to show him to the person i made him for he approves though he did take issue with the wing posted by jojo in crochet tags crochet reply squirt january 28 2016 this is squirt squirt isn t exactly the way i wanted him but i m tired of squirt i ve been working on him longer than is reasonable for such a small piece he has now been officially added to the portfolio i might go back and create a background but for now i must let him rest for my own sanity posted by jojo in drawings uncategorized tags colored pencil finding nemo graphite 2 comments sad story january 27 2016 once upon a time a time that was about six months ago i set out on an adventure that involved a relatively large piece of paper some graphite pencils and a cool looking flower i spent a while sketching it out which i abhor getting the shape of the petals to my liking next came the task of filling in these shapes i spent hours working my fingers to the bone i left it alone for a while though then my birthday came around and i received new pencils and what is basically a giant clipboard my interest in working on the flower was renewed but i stopped working on it again forgot about it even i figured i d come back to it sometime i came back to it a few days ago i found it rolled up by my window it s in pretty rough shape crinkled and creased so i decided to simply redo it it s a little disheartening but it s my own fault basically it was this the petal on the bottom isn t finished that s why it looks off and now it s been reduced to this that s my giant clipboard god only knows how long it ll take me to finish it i think i ll finish this before the cat just because i prefer working with graphite but there s a lot of work to do it s 14 x 17 so it s not too large but it s the biggest piece i ve worked on so far i m using a different type of paper for the new one it s bristol paper which is kind of like card stock it s a smooth surface which makes it easier to blend the original one was done on drawing paper which is a little rougher good thing about bristol paper is it won t crinkle bad thing about bristol paper is if you do manage to crease it that crease will be there for forever it s not easy to crease though if you re responsible and don t leave it lying under a pile of clothes or something posted by jojo in drawings uncategorized tags flower graphite reply uh art january 26 2016 i guess i ll go ahead and start my art posting by art i mean mainly graphite and colored pencil drawings and yarn needlework crafts crochet knitting mainly crochet or some form of it we ll start with drawings i got a nice portfolio for christmas and there are 48 pages to fill i really want to do that but i m no good at finishing things i swear my room is full of unfinished artwork and yarn projects i do have one piece finished however this is my very first drawing done in colored pencil this picture doesn t actually show the color very well it s a deeper pinkish purple i don t like the background but i m certainly not going to redo it i don t know how long it took me probably longer than it should have i was going to give it to my grandmother for christmas but i m too attached to it it s basically like my first baby so that s 1 down 47 to go i m working on four other projects at the moment but one of them doesn t count because it s going to be a gift this one day it will be finished that day has to be before march 13th it s a gift for
