job and having terrible luck i thought right after i graduate from college it would be easier to find a job to my surprise there are a lot of people who have graduated in the same field as me i graduated from college at byu idaho in communication with an emphasis in public relations and i also minored in organizational management i have a marketing and graphic design back ground i am currently working as a marketing communications specialist for the family business i don t want to work for the family business anymore because it doesn t pay well and there is no promotion within the company i am stuck at dead end job this is why i went to college in the first place after graduating from college i felt like i was on top of the world and really excited about applying for jobs i would apply to a lot of jobs and hear back from them in a couple of days some job interviews don t go pass the initial phone interview and some i would go all the way to an in person interview a week or two later i would receive an email from these companies saying i was not selected for the position they go on to say there were other candidates who are better qualify for the job position i am really sick of receiving these emails all of the jobs i have applied for are internships or entry level positions it doesn t make sense when receiving an email telling me there are better qualify candidates for an internship i thought the purpose of an internship is to learn no one should be more qualified than the other for an internship i have no idea what i am doing wrong i read about how to do better in an interview i have done practice interviews at college what am i doing wrong should i bribe the person who is interviewing me i would never bribe someone to receive a job i thought my work experience would help out i have been working my whole life and i know how to work hard everyday i love learning and trying new things within a company my parent own a direct mailing and printing company i have been a graphic designer and a marketing coordinator i left for college in a different state and found a job for soapbox agency which is an advertising and public relations agency i hold three different positions for soapbox agency i started as a graphic designer than got promoted to be a public relations specialist after being a public relations specialist i was promoted to be an account executive where i was the liaison between the client and the agency after graduating from college i wanted to find a job in my home state which is washington i couldn t find anything right away so i went back to work for my parents business as a marketing communications specialist even though i am at a dead end job i am grateful for the job i have now so i can support my family i will never lose hope in finding a new job i will never lose my excitement in applying and interviewing for jobs all i hope for is a better future in finding a new job to view my resume go to my online washington today was a fun day posted on july 6 2013 updated on july 12 2014 we did a lot today with trying to find a new place to live and spending time with family we started our day trying to find a place to live but there are a lot of places that don t work for our family we have 5 people in our family and some places won t except us because they only have 2 bedroom apartments there is a law that you can only have two people per bedroom so our family needs a 3 bedroom place but there have been some places that said that you can have one person can count for living in the living room we are trying to find a place that is really cheap and close to the buses for me to travel to work we are used to idaho prices where it is way cheaper than washington it has been hard to find a place to live in washington after looking for places to live we spent time with family in enumclaw where most of my family lives we had a huge get together because there were relatives that were visiting my daughter elle grab a huge hand full of dirt and ate it her mouth and face were full of dirt when we found her chowing it down for some reason she loves to eat dirt overall we had a wonderful day and day as a family we rode a ferry and hung out with jamie s parents and went to a friends for a 4 th of july party the reason why we travel to washington is because i have a job interview at weber shandwick a public relations firm in seattle i am really excited for this job interview and i can t wait until monday for my interview i am super tired and i am going to bed to get some rest enjoy the it s been a fun week tony had school off this week so we made sure to do some enjoyable things together we also accomplished a lot tony and i both started working out regularly and it s feeling good we went to a furniture warehouse earlier this week and got ash and britt a bunk bed and mattresses on our way home one of the mattresses flew off the roof of our car the warehouse worker hadn t tied it on correctly i m soooooo thankful it didn t hit any other cars on the road we smooshed it into the car with the rest of us and tony re tied the other mattress securely to the top of the car we traveled the rest of the way home without any other occurrences the girls love their new big bed ash was in a toddler bed and britt was in a crib the transition was pretty easy other things we ve done this week are go swimming get the door and window in our car fixed they were pitifully broken and we were driving around with a constant shrieking whistle because the window wouldn t stay up tony took the older two to see a movie we went shopping and tried out a new restaurant we also visited yellowstone s bear world it s a drive through park with a petting zoo and a mini amusement park we all loved it yay for bears a little grizzly bear a bunch of bears another bear of many there are soooo many bears here i loved that there were no rules against taking my baby on the rides you can see that britt was loving it look at that face elle is only 15 months but she loooooved the rides in my opinion this ride was the best it went around at the perfect speed and bounced up and down right at this spot here s a fun shot of ash and britt with happy grins elle and i were behind them see how much she loved it i ve never been to any other amusement park that allowed such young children on their rides we will be going back before we have to move elle threw a massive temper tantrum after i pull her off of this ride p s my hair looks terrible in this pic but it s always windy here though it actually doesn t matter any more because i chopped it all off this evening pleased we saved the petting zoo for last they had deer chickens geese that we were told to stay away from a pig goats and peacocks the friendly bear world porker the pygmy goats were trying to nap but let the girls stroke them a bit anyway lots of fun to be had at bear world i recommend it they are rather pricey but if stressful day of my life i am in my last week of school and i have a lot of projects that are due this week i can feel that this week is going to be longer than the last 13 weeks of school i am taking eight classes right now and i am regretting my decision i started off this morning with a class at 7 45 a m after i had finished my morning class i had to wait in what seemed to be a mile long line that took forever for me to print off my final public relation project this morning is still not over and i am pulling out my hair because i just realized i have to write 5 papers this week i just love school right now overall i am glad that i am taking eight classes because it makes it possible for me to graduate next semester stay tuned about my excitement when i finish this semester this loves when i cook for her and the family because it gives her some free time jamie told me that i am a better cook than her and that i should be cooking dinner every night i want to share a pizza recipe that i love to cook when i get the chance here is the pizza recipe here is the recipe for pizza crust original recipe makes 1 12 inch pizza crust 1 25 ounce package active dry yeast 1 teaspoon white sugar 1 cup warm water 110 degrees f 45 degrees c 2 1 2 cups bread flour 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt directions preheat oven to 450 degrees f 230 degrees c in a medium bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water let stand until creamy about 10 minutes stir in flour salt and oil beat until smooth let rest for 5 minutes turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker s peel dusted with cornmeal spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving if you don t have pizza sauce i have a good recipe that is really good here is the recipe for pizza sauce original recipe makes 1 pizza 1 6 ounce can tomato paste 6 fluid ounces warm water 110 degrees f 45 degrees c 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 tablespoons honey q teaspoon anchovy paste optional 3 4 teaspoon onion powder 1 4 teaspoon dried oregano 1 4 teaspoon dried marjoram 1 4 teaspoon dried basil 1 4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes salt to taste directions in a small bowl combine tomato paste water parmesan cheese garlic honey anchovy paste onion powder oregano marjoram basil ground black pepper cayenne pepper red pepper flakes and salt mix together breaking up any clumps of cheese sauce should sit for 30 minutes to blend flavors spread over pizza dough and prepare pizza as desired this entry was posted in recipes and tagged baking exactly what i needed i heard a lot of messages about hope because of jesus christ i was reminded that i will be whole someday i felt strongly that the sunday school teacher was talking for me when he discussed how often we pray for a trial to be removed when we should be praying for the strength to carry that trial i watched this video he is risen ash i m sure that you figured out from tony s post that the easter bunny visits us on saturday morning i liked saving sunday just to focus on the true reason we have easter we made resurrection rolls told the easter story with visual aids thanks to my friend who let me borrow her set and had a dinner that was similar to what christ may have eaten when he lived on the earth britt we also squeezed in naps and then took the girls in their easter dresses to go take pictures at the temple they loved it of course elle it was a nice and simple day that was touched with a sweet spirit temple i like how laura at decor to adore said it rejoicing in days i have had in a long time i woke up this morning with my family celebrating easter my wife jamie and i laid eggs full of fruit snacks and toys all over the living room for our kids to find i remember ash and britt opening each egg and eating all of the candy inside before putting the egg in the basket after awhile they started putting all of the fruit snacks they found in a basket so they could eat them later soon after i found elle stuffing her face full of fruit snacks to the point they were falling out of her mouth because she couldn t close it all of the way after we had our family easter hunt i had to go to school and finish my homework i really don t like going to school to finish my homework because it takes me away from spending time with my family on a saturday but saturdays are one of my busiest days to do school work i am taking 8 classes right now which people tell me i am crazy for having that many classes i would have to agree with them because i have been ready for this semester to be done 5 weeks ago i still have 2 more weeks left of school these last couple of weeks are going by really slow after a long day at school i finally came home and moved ash s bed out of our room it was a long process because i had to move elle s bed into britt s bedroom to put ash s bed in elle s old bedroom once we put them to bed i realize that i might have made a mistake because all i heard was britt and elle laughing and playing while they should be sleeping the best part of my day is making this blog so that jamie and i can blog together hope all of you
