atwood family skip to main skip to sidebar atwood family saturday february 13 2010 trying to catch up i was so good about updating my blog when my parents were on their mission this blog was my way of keeping them connected to us and update them on our lives since they came home i have slacked big time i have to remember that i m doing this for my family and myself so we have some sort of family history this is the only journal i keep so i have to be better about documenting our lives my goal is to do at least one post a day till i get caught up and then stay caught up i love that i can back disneyland we spent two days at disneyland while we were in cali for thanksgiving i think i was more excited than gavin i love disneyland waiting in line for soarin over california this was our favorite ride steve and i on tower of terror i was definitely terrified waiting in line for monsters inc with my friend chelsie from college my friend steph met me there too but i forgot to get a pic a bugs life gavin s in the dog pound taking a lunch break enjoying our 6 corn dogs indiana jones gavin loved this ride gavin and his friend josh some of our friends from lehi were at disneyland the begging us to go to the beach while we were in california even though it never got warmer than 70 degree it wasn t warm enough beach weather for me but gavin loved it he s a beach boy for sure posted dinner which ended with way too many leftovers it was so great to spend time with them one night we decided to pamper ourselves with facials a movie and a soak in the hot tub steve even got in on it fun to hang out with him and his friends i m happy i m able to do stuff like this with him while i m still cool in his eyes that is gavin s scary ghost face aren t you terrified posted by arah debra at 2 51 pm 1 comment friday october 23 2009 7 day get away for our 11th anniversary steve s present to me was a trip to ann arbor to be with my sister it was such a perfect gift i spent the week reading eating sleeping and being pampered it was great to be able to spend so much quality time with my sis it was also nice to have some one on one time with my niece and nephew even though i m sure keely would have rather i d brought gavin with me she and ben were very excited to see me i love those kids the day after i flew in lisa and i left for a couple days in traverse city it was a beautiful 4 hour drive we bought the book north and south by elizabeth gaskell great book and lisa read it out loud while we drove we had a lot of fun on our little excursion i can t remember the name of this place but they had the best chocolate croissants and hot cocoa a delicious dessert at phil s on front in traverse city soooo yummy we went to the grand traverse resort and spa for a little pampering lisa got the mother to be massage and i got the scent sational we felt like new women when we left we were told you can t go to traverse city without going to moomers for their homemade ice cream so even though it was only 40 degrees outside we made sure to sample a little taste of country nice pose lisa we didn t spend much time at the lake because it was so cold but we had to get a picture it was beautiful i was able to tag along on a young women s activity to see the broadway show legally blonde i planned my trip perfectly the quinn s carved pumpkins for family night when i was there the kids had lots of fun but ben wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin guts he a man after my own heart thank you quinn family for letting me hang out with you for a week thank you babe for such
