up a word in the kitchen and it can be so overwhelming for me don t get me wrong i truly like healthy food i just wish i had a chef two if i really stick to what should be my daily caloric intake it s so hard it s amazing what an actual portion healthy one that is looks like of course that s always been my problem portion control i m not really a snacker not at home anyway just eat too much sheesh i was eating so much more than i should have been and i wonder why i was too fluffy well am but i m working on it rewiring my brain and stomach a big work in progress here s my lunch buen aproveché to let too much time pass and then got overwhelmed by how much i needed to catch up on crippled in a sense i seem to allow that to happen way too much in my life and then i do nothing lazy unproductive challenge myself and feel kinda creative ish also as incentive i m taking a photography class that starts today i m so excited to finally learn how to use my dslr and not just in auto with blurry and dancing in the minefields hi friends and family it s been a while i m so sorry i have a goal but i won t share it cause i ll probably fail gotta start somewhere please take the time to listen to and easter and truly reflected on the meaning and true celebration of jesus christ s life death and resurrection i just read this and thought it was really encouraging and right on bless you all and let s live everyday knowing he is risen hosanna in the highest for the joy by ty saltzgiver i m writing this on easter weekend and i m overwhelmed trying to wrap my mind and heart around jesus dying for me maybe hebrews 12 2 says it the best fixing our eyes on jesus the author and perfecter of our faith who for the joy set before him endured the cross scorning its shame when we ask why did jesus choose to die to go through with it he answers for the joy set before me and what is that joy that joy is you and me the idea of being in intimate relationship with us taking up residence in our hearts where he can explode his life through us and pour out his love in us as i think about and pray for kids being introduced to this jesus we re at our best when we like paul determine to know just one thing among you only jesus christ and him crucified for the cross best introduces kids to the reality that they are jesus joy and that jesus loves them another reflection a prayer has emerged for me that young life would experience the movement of the holy spirit in reaching kids i once studied the revivals in this country in 1858 and in wales in 1904 though there is no way to program such an outpouring of the holy spirit i am aware that there are some common denominators in all revivals there is a spiritual brokenness with a conviction of sin and genuine repentance among god s people in our case among our staff and volunteers there is a spiritual hunger and a drawing to fervent intercession for kids in our case to meet jesus christ people start coming out of the woodwork from march 11 2010 what kind of cheerleader are you so i have this favorite blog i read ask me if you re interested and i ll tell you which one and this is an excerpt from it so to be clear i wrote none of this but i love what she has to say and it s very convicting and thought provoking may you all cheer loudly and often for those you love so i have had to ask myself what for me does it mean to be a cheerleader to my husband and children i think it s different for everyone because we have to consider our own personalities and the personalities we are married to and the children god has given us for me it means to find pleasure in what my children and husband are doing and in some way express that pleasure to them being supportive through my facial expressions high fives hugs my love language is physical affection so i find i cheer in this way probably most short text messages or notes messages left on his cell phone or maybe just short phrases of encouragement that are truthful and accurate to let them know i am watching supportive of them and think they re the greatest whether they win or lose and even when they mess up i want to be the right kind of cheerleader for my husband or children when they feel they are down in the game of life 45 0 i think as moms sometimes we can be more critical of the ones we love most that never makes much sense to me but i ve seen it lived out i m sure there is love in that too wanting our children and husband to be the best they can be thus thinking when we see imperfections we need to correct and admonish and point out so they will change for their better personally i ve never seen criticalness work too well there are times where correction is needful and of course as a parent we have a responsibility to train up our children in the way they should go but i think compared to what is most needful encouragement cheerleading it shouldn t even be 50 50 i d rather err on being too much of a cheerleader than being to much of a critic i read these suggestions the other day on supporting your husband or wife and i thought they were really on target so i wrote them down respect your spouse s personal decisions show that you have faith in your mate be the shoulder to lean on when your spouse has a sinking feeling work together with your spouse to maintain balance in your life together don t be threatened by your spouse s accomplishments tell people especially your partner how proud you are of his her talents and skills in wanting to help your spouse to rebound from a difficult situation don t try to solve your partner s problem listen well so that your spouse knows you are wanting to understand the issue or situation troubling your mate be realistic as you encourage your spouse don t exaggerate being a cheerleader is obviously more than jumping up and down and being blonde it involves knowing when to cheer and how to cheer how long to cheer it takes an inner strength of the heart and relationship with jesus from college mandy got married may 9th it s one of the most fun and craziest stories too long for all the details but basically they met through a mutual friend who was living in london yes he s from london they fell in love and got married all within 7 or 8 months his name is ben and we the college girls all approve mandy is currently in london with him and we re all quite jealous but yet so happy for her love you mandy celebrating after at silo jen jessica me mandy angelique and jenn funny thing both jennifers have since had their babies jen on the left had a sweet little boy named braeden scott who was born on july 15th jenn on the right also had a sweet little boy named liam joseph on october 13th just 5 days after nathan s bday and angelique is expecting a little boy also
