had my first gig on the 44th cinderella book subject today brig had to work so i went solo we were asked by bishop greg smith of the regional young adult singles ward here in riverton who just met us this last wednesday to bring our witness and confirmation to his talk on the subject of the august ensign article entitled making the most of our single years it went very well despite satan making giant obvious waves to prevent the miracle for the 24 hours before the scheduled appointment i just fought him with determination and a lot of prayer that i might be a handmaid to the lord despite it went very well the audience packed the relief society room 5th sunday combined they laughed at my funnies and listened intently i believe they felt the spirit as i felt it the bishopric and several others thanked me on my quick exit i had to get to my ward and meetings and the bishop and his counselor told me they would like to have me back perhaps for a fireside we took ace to mirror lake this last friday he went to the gym on tuesday with brig and in their conversation brig discovered that ace had never caught a fish so we planned this big day just for ace ace has expressed disappointment that he s not been around to participate in some of the other summer activities with the family brig got ace all set up and they made the first cast a few minutes later ace had a little six inch trout reeled in on the end of his line brig is a wonderful man and his unselfishness towards my children endear him to me despite their sometimes seeming ingratitude due to the stresses they ve endured and the emotional baggage they still need to work out our trial date for the house issue is set for september 23 and 24th if you can remember us in your fast this next sunday that would be wonderful we picked our corn a little late it s a little sticky but the toms are coming in nice and a zuke nearly every day sally sunflower is an amazon and a new punkin and spag squash have been discovered this week nice of mother nature to make up for the punkin we lost i m still eating peas and tomorrow is september i learned a secret at the roberta house when i planted there i only got to eat one but that s better than none i m planning to plant a winter crop tomorrow hope i don t freeze i ve given brig 50 pages of homework on the book as that s where i m edited to and he still needs to make his contributions brig was out on the lake when two young single women approached ace and i fishing on the shore and started in on a conversation they asked what had brought us here and i told them that besides teaching my young one to fish which had been instantaneously successful we also wanted to show him the meadow just up from where we were where brig proposed to me we did this with him before the ladies came along the pathway one thing led to another i found out they were lds i had to tell them about the miracle they can t wait to get a copy of the book so they say it has been a great witness for keeping a journal because at the end of your journey you can put the pieces together and the details of a miracle can be seemingly boundless one of the ladies they re about 30 said that she is going to look me up in 6 months to make sure she gets a copy i told her to look me up in three i was in peterson s market two days ago picking out potatoes when a young woman ran up to me and hugged me from behind it was noelle this was wonderful for my heart i told her i loved her and how nice it was to see her and asked her how school was going she s now in her first year of middle school she seemed well i could see bethany afar off by the store door i waved to her and motioned for her to come close she came though seemingly a bit sheepishly as might be expected under the circumstances i told her i loved her to assure her i hugged her and whispered as sincerely as ever again that i love her both of the girls said they love me when i was checking out i could see bethany s boyfriend tony with her by the door i understand he s been naturally upset with her over the events of last month and hoped he would look my way so he could know there should be no ill will between us but he kept his head down before i was able to pay i heard a happy smiling voice jacquie it was my angel mentor friend angie she hugged me and asked me how things were going i told her what had just transpired she and her second husband had lost a few in the casualties of their divorce wars and she said but they all come back she assured me that it is the choices they are making that cause
