their create team for 2014 today and i am excited to be a part of it starting in january scrapbook generation will be starting a digital magazine that will have new articles each month called create november sketch week it is time for november sketch week and there is a new sketch on allison s blog you can download the sketch here i used the right side of the sketch to create my one page layout i used two vertical photos on the right side similar to the sketch i also added one smaller photo on the bottom left which is also similar to the sketch i added a horizontal strip of paper under the title which is similar to the sketch although i moved my strip of paper farther down on the page i flipped the title from the top right to the bottom right which is different from the sketch i traced around the arrow and added some additional doodling the thanks is a stamp but the give portion of the title is handwritten we hang up a garland on the mantel every year and add leaves to it adding one thing we are thankful for leading up to thanksgiving i added some leaves that my daughters wrote last year along the left side of the layout my youngest was too small to write it herself so her leaf davis there is a new sketch for september on allison davis blog download it here it is a two page sketch with a lot of different possibilities for some amazing inspiration on how to use this sketch check out allison s blog she has been featuring projects all week long i made a one page layout using the sketch i varied the sketch by rotating it so my layers were horizontal instead of vertical i found a couple of my favorite photos from the spring to include in this layout it was an ordinary day and a perfect capture of my oldest daughter simply blowing dandelions in the wind i clustered the title on the right similar to the placement of the stars in the sketch the heart card is adorable and the colors seemed to compliment the layout perfectly i added to it by stamping amazing moment and the date on it i love how it turned out i tucked a little journaling card behind the photo to keep the layout simple i also added some washi tape on the top and bottom of the layout products used sketch week it is sketch week for august on allison davis s blog allison will be posting a lot of different versions of the sketch for this month so be sure and check her blog often this week the sketch for this month is shown below and available from the scrapbook generation online store for you to download and use as well i mirrored the sketch placing the photo on the right and clustering my other elements on the left i also included some accents at the top and bottom corners of the layout instead of using 2x2 photos i layered washi tape and arrow accents i tucked the journaling behind week saturday march 30 2013 peep bunny banner i decided about a month ago to try making a peep bunny banner to decorate our mantel with for easter the tutorial and pattern are found here from dana made it it took quite a while of fitting it in here and there to actually finish it but it did get finished and before easter i am not so great with the sewing machine one of my life long dreams is to learn to sew well with the machine but since my husband already does it is sometimes easier to let him do it instead so one of the reasons it took so much longer is i hand stitched each little bunny usually while catching up on some of my tv shows big bang theory anyone in the evenings here is the final product and yes we still have portions of our valentine s decorations included with our easter hours friday night for a quick crop i have been out of the habit and lacking motivation lately and this was a good push for me to get back at it i am a little slower since i am out of the habit so one layout completed seemed like a big accomplishment this is what i came up with this is one of my favorite photos lately of b because it represents her completely at this stage her love for dressing up her fun spirit and just what a typical day looks like with her i wanted to use the dark gray paper but didn t have a full sheet so i layered it onto a lighter gray paper and made it work i layered some october afternoon and laid some crate paper on top of that then i added some border stickers along both edges to frame the photo i cut out the fun and stamped girl along the side of it with some cute wooden stamps from the target dollar bin i layered that on top of a lily bee journal card i finished the layout with some arrows cut out of an october afternoon paper another border sticker along
