the avocado seed the avocado seed sprouting knowledge and power a blog for inspiring growth through the development of strong roots that allows us to branch out and share the fruit of life sunday march 1 2015 it starts with the seed my sister came home the other night and said i want to grow an avocado tree i looked at my sister who is known for her out of the blue no reason needed ideas and just smiled and said okay and that was that now her random ideas occasionally come and go without her seeing them through you will get to know her throughout this blog as well as she is an other author and i just brushed off and never gave it a second thought but this damn avocado tree idea had not slipped from her mind she was determined the next day she came home with a bag of about five avocados i looked at her quizzically and asked i thought you wanted to grow a tree as in one not an entire forest quiet seriously she replied what i wanted guacamole and so after a night of chips guac and margaritas we had acquired the lucky seed that was destined to turn into most likely hopefully an avocado tree now i don t know if any of you have ever tried to grow an avocado tree but its not something that happens over night it takes a loooong time for a transformation from seed to tree so this got me thinking in a way life is like trying to grow an avocado tree it takes time to grow and sometimes although changes are occurring they don t become apparent for a long time acquiring the seed you eat an avocado and then you are left with this rather large egg shaped pit now you have two options you throw away the seed or you decide to grow a tree i hope you decide to grow a tree now i am not an expert at life nor am i trying to tell you how to live your life but if there is one thing i have learned so far it is that making your own life is done by making your own choices and sometimes these choices are bad but the good news is that no matter how bad these choices are they still lead to the opportunity to learn and grow welcome to the avocado seed this blog may enlighten or confuse sometimes it may be fun sometimes it may be dumb and sometimes it will bring you to tears posted by unknown at 8 22 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest home subscribe to posts atom meet the seeders hello thank you so much for reading our blog my name is caitlin and my sister is the other seeder don t worry she is a real person this blog is something we came up with one day after planting an avocado seed but its not just about growing a tree but more about growing as a human being i am a nutritional health coach and the other seeder is an accountant so you can imagine that we will have stories with broad points of view my hope is that this blog is some place you can come to gain knowledge inspiration have a laugh or engage in conversation any way i hope you enjoy and if anything you learn how to grow an avocado tree the seed week one contributors avocado seeder unknown blog archive 2015 1 march 1 it starts with the seed watermark theme theme images by nicodemos powered by blogger
