family life s greatest blessing family life s greatest blessing sunday september 7 2014 ogden temple open house yesterday we had the opportunity to tour the newly renovated ogden temple it used to exactly like the provo utah temple but not any more it is amazing what has taken place i could see some resemblance of the provo temple but it is beautiful glad we had the chance to meet aaron stephanie and bridget and go with them such a great day wish we had more days like that but then if we did i wouldn t appreciate them after the tour we found a place close by for lunch turns out we went to the same place after we attended the brigham city temple open house i guess good things are worth repeating such a cutie she made the whole day even more fun can t seem to get enough of her just one more look hope to be able to go back soon posted by lynette at 2 16 pm no comments tuesday august 26 2014 summer in a nutshell wow where did the summer go it is hard to believe that fall is in the air starting to feel a bit chilly in springville here are a few events of summer 2014 paul graduated from georgia tech in atlanta georgia on may 3 with a master s degree in electrical engineering the next morning may 4 stacy graduated from utah state university in logan utah with a bachelor s degree in math education a week after graduation paul and kellie moved to tucson az paul is working for ratheon and kellie is working from home for georgia pacific elder bartholomew serving in dapto australia had the opportunity to baptize sarah on august 9 stacy moved to riverton ut she is now teaching 8th grade math at fort herriman middle school in herriman ut on august 15 i finished at home what i started at brigham young university i received a bachelor s degree in general studies with an emphasis in family life paul and kellie surprised me by flying in from arizona that morning aaron stephanie and bridget came from logan stacy came from riverton such a fun day for me so grateful for the support and help i received from my family especially from david in accomplishing my goal august 19 was tyler s last first day of public education doesn t seem possible that the youngest in our family will soon graduate from high school and head off for greater things where did the time go the summer was finished off with the beautiful wedding of my niece sierra she and dane were married on august 23 in the manti temple it was so neat to be with them as they began their lives together so there it is summer in a nutshell wonder what the fall will bring posted by lynette at 10 59 am 1 comment saturday april 12 2014 georgia on my mind tyler and i just returned for a wonderful trip to atlanta ga paul and kellie have lived there since august 2012 so that paul could work on his master s degree at georgia tech in may they will move to tucson az paul has accepted employment with ratheon so it was now or never we had a wonderful time and got to experience some southern culture our first stop was six flags over georgia for a some roller coaster fun this will be remembered as the place i took my last roller coaster ride food trucks for dinner a good variety of food sold at a small park not far from paul and kellie s apartments lots of choices spend a day at the georgia aquarium lots and lots of sea creaturers even took in a dolphin show no camera s allowed the robot paul worked with to write his master s thesis here we have a demonstrations of pauls master s thesis tyler did something and then the robot would imitate not too bad a tour at the cnn studio allowed us to ride this unsupported escalator up 6 floors amazing we had lunch from the top of a revolving restaurant that overlooked the city of atlanta we were able to see the whole city during our hour lunch we located paul and kellie s apartment turner field home of the atlanta braves georgia tech and had a close up view of the georgia pacific building where sometimes kellie works at on the campus of georgia tech wanted to see where paul spent a lot of his time during the past almost 2 years we even got a chance at some southern food fried chicken sweet potatoes and fried okra along with a turnip green soup delicious we had a wonderful time good to be in the south again posted by lynette at 8 09 am 2 comments monday march 3 2014 blessing day yesterday aaron and stephanie s bridget was blessed by aaron he gave her a wonderful blessing to help guide her through her life bridget s 6 great grandparents and 4 grandparents great grandpa anderson getting to hold bridget for the first time posted by lynette at 2 15 pm 2 comments monday february 10 2014 the end is in sight this is how i spend mornings lately just a couple more assignments and i will be finished with adult development and aging it has been a good class i have learned much about what i can expect as i get older and also how i can best assist others just one more class after this one and i can say i finished at home what i started at byu a long time ago posted by lynette at 6 39 pm 2 comments sunday december 15 2013 gingerbread houses and a new baby once again we made gingerbread houses it is more fun to do it with some one so we invited a cousin s daughter to bring her children it was fun to watch them they knew just want they wanted to do and mom and grandma helped make their ideas a reality here is the brandt family with their finished product i hope they had a good time we sure did thanks jake and ashley stacy and tyler couldn t decide how to do their house so they decided to turn it into a duplex and each decorate their own side good thinking looks good and they had fun creating to their hearts content on december 3 at 12 06 p m a new baby arrived aaron and stephanie s little bridget was born in logan grandpa and i couldn t get their fast enough weird to think of ourselves as grandparents but we sure love this little one i was amazed at the feelings of love i had for her as she was placed in home from a temple assignment i decided to make applesauce and bread didn t think it would take that long 32 quarts of applesauce thanks dad for the delicious apples 20 loaves for bread last 4 came
