3 men and a lady and a lady 3 men and a lady and a lady richard megan trey jack harper friday may 16 2014 3 can you believe it s been three years since this girl was born it seems to be going so fast but i love her harper woke up so early the day of her birthday she was so excited to open her presents that she went and woke up everyone in the house she has been starring at them for a few days so she was more than ready to open them her favorite thing she got was her new pink scooter she has been riding around on the boys and really she s great at it so we thought its time for her to have her own so when we found this pink one with streamers and a bell we knew she had to have it that morning we got ready for her birthday tea party that she was going to have with her friends she couldn t wait she was so excited to have just her girls over and absolutely no boys so we got everything prepped and took jack to the bus and then it was time to party one of the bus moms was kind enough to take our picture since we were all dressed up when we got home we waited for all her friends to get there 15 minutes seemed like an eternity for harper but they all finally arrived we had all of harpers favorites flower shaped pb j strawberries grapes and cheese they drank pink lemonade out of little mason jars it was kind of a country tea party but it was just the cutest all the girls were told to wear their prettiest dress which they all did it was just adorable after the lunch presents and cupcakes the girls played blowed bubbles and fought over who had the prettiest shoes later that night we had to go to soccer but harper loved it because all her best girls where there again our whole neighborhood is on the same soccer team almost so it works out well for me and harper she gets to play with her friends and i get to chat with mine after soccer harper chose cafe rio for dinner with daddy it s her favorite so i wasn t to surprised it was great because she finally got to hang out with richard since he had been at work all day and then had to coach soccer then we headed home for cupcakes she sure was spoiled but that exactly how it should be on your birthday she was so tired that night and crashed right out as soon as she climbed in bed she got some new dress up for her birthday and jack has been so nice to play with her here she was a pirate fairy and he s king candy she is so lucky to have such great brothers she also has been tearing it up on her scooter the neighbor girl down the road has been a little jealous of it and tries to ride it all the time and harper is pretty possessive about it so she s been hiding it in the backyard she been scooting all over the place back there happy birthday to my sweet girl i love her so much we truly are thr best of friends i know that because she tells me all the time we have to stick together in this house full of boys love my little lady posted by the davidsons at 3 15 pm 1 comment mother s day mother s day was a great day the kids couldn t wait to wake me up in the morning so they could give me the things they made at school and their cards they were all so excited and so was i trey made me a flower pen and wrote a huge letter to me it was really sweet then they all gave me a card trey and jack made me breakfast in bed with no help from richard while me and harper snuggled we got ready for church and headed outside to take mother s day pictures trey was asked to give a talk in sacrament meeting about a month ago as a tribute to his mom i was so nervous for him because he is only seven though he seems so much more mature all the other kids were teenagers or 20 something s he wasn t nervous until we started to walk up the steps to the church then he really started to feel it but he walked in and went straight up to the front to sit with all those other kids he looked so tiny and everyone was going up there to give him a pep talk but let me tell you he did an amazing job he was the first one and honestly the best one trey and richard wrote the cutest talk and it s something that i will never forget i was so proud of him he is definitely braver than i am he said the sweetest things so i now feel like i am somewhat suceeding at this whole mom thing after church we headed home and richard made dinner it was a fantastic day i m so happy to be the mom of these three beautiful kids they truly make being a mom the best ever i love them so much and i m proud of the little people that they are turning into posted by the davidsons at 1 53 pm no comments tuesday april 22 2014 the roof the roof the roof is new that s right peeps we got a new roof i realize this is something a little ridiculous to get excited about but when you are a homeowner weird things get you excitable we ve been planning and saving for this day for sometime so we are glad to finally cross this project off our list a few years ago we had a leak in our roof during the winter which caused a good amount of damage to the house we got it patched fixed everything up and prayed that it would hold up for a few more years we aren t ashamed one bit to say we have put a tarp on our roof in that particular spot for a couple of winters just to be on the safe side see we are firm believers in not doing things unless we have the money to do so we enjoy our debt free lifestyle a little to much we knew this year would be the year that we could make it happen so we got estimates picked out shingles which is harder than you would think we finally decided what would look best and set the date for into happen so this was us monday morning up bright and early watching a truck load of shingles get lifted up to the roof it was pretty cool the other great thing was that our neighbors are also getting their roof done by the same guy so we got to watch their shingles go up to their roof to double the fun jack had an obsession with this parachute that morning and he was bound and determined it was going to fly off the roof i told him to ask the roofer if he would take it up with and throw it down to him he was more than happy to and it made jacks whole day he probably would have played with him all day if he didn t have work to do it was noisy day at this house that afternoon after taking jack to the bus harper walked into the kitchen to get a drink she had just barely stepped out of the kitchen when the light figure above the sink came crashing down and shattered glass went everywhere talk about scary that girl has a serious guardian angle watching out for her we got all that cleaned up and finished off that day with no more craziness thank goodness today was another loud day of hammering hammering and more hammering they also took off the old unused swam cooler glad that eye sore is gone he worked hard all day and finished our roof here it is say goodbye to that ugly red roof and hello to our new beautiful black one it seriously looks like a brand new house we are so excited to be able to finally start crossing big projects like thisoff our list now that our house is paid off the best thing about it is that since they sealed off the swam cooler and put new vents in it no longer sounds like you re in the middle of a tornado when your up stairs and the wind is blowing couldn t be more happy with the results posted by the davidsons at 6 09 pm 1 comment saturday april 19 2014 the start of soccer season soccer season is my favorite season i m so glad it s soccer time and so are the boys they are in different age groups this year which has been a little challenging but we are figuring it out and making it work richard is coaching jacks team this year and has been proclaimed as the best coach ever he must be pretty great because he was totally maxed out for requests of people wanting to be on his team we started out soccer season with practice at the worst park of all time treys coach chose jens johanson park as his place to practice i decided me and the other two could just hangout at the park i use the term park loosely it was cool for about 5 seconds that was went jack fell down the stairs ripped up his whole leg and then heaven forbid and bug landed in harper it was a big paradise there and she was not having it there were tears and screaming about why would i take them to this place it s the worst park ever that practice couldn t end soon enough we also had to stock up on some new gear trey needed new cleats and he somehow talked richard into a new headband jack had the first game of the season he was doing awesome sadly i had to leave to take trey to his game about half way through and i missed him scoring his first goal ever i mean it s really not fair luckily we have tons of great friends on our team and they all cheered and snagged this picture for me trey is in the older group this year so it s a little more technical than follow the ball which is great he s learning a lot but honestly he s kind of a natural when it comes to soccer he scored his first goal of the season and i couldn t have been prouder he s a little soccer star we had games again today and trey got to be the team captain he played goalie and totally rocked it he want letting anything get past him he also scored a goal today so he is on a pretty good streak so far it was a pretty eventful game full of tears sweat and blood it was awesome thankfully no tears or blood were shed by trey jack also played today but i didn t get to see any of his game and of coarse he scored a goal again i m so glad i have such great friends on the team that snag me great comments monday march 31 2014 our first pet over the weekend the kids really wanted to go to pet smart this is something that they always ask to do so we went we checked out all pet smart had to offer we saw fish birds rats and hamsters snakes turtles frogs it was like going to the zoo they were so entertained for an hour after we left they were all about getting a pet we decided that we would let them get a fish nothing crazy just a betta in a bowl first we had to have a few talks about taking care of it and about the dreadful day of when it dies today was the big day we headed to the store and got our fish it was a big ordeal at the store because no one could agree on a color so i just picked the prettiest one we got our bowl some pretty rocks food and a pink tree and we were off to bring home our new addition meet shark bait ooo haha we got him all set up and they kids are loving him it s just the kind of low key pet that we need now let s just hope he doesn t fly out of the bowl and die posted by the davidsons at 12 36 pm 1 comment wednesday february 19 2014 the dirty 30 well the big three oh came whether i wanted it to or not i ve been dreading turning thirty for as long as i can remember i remember my dad turning thirty when i was little and thinking oh man he s so old and now here i am at least i don t look as old as i think 30 use to look so i have that going for me a few days before my birthday my sister in law surprised me by dropping off this fab 30 emergency kit she knows me so well it had everything i would need to face the big day chocolate coke make up and more it definitely lifted my spirits if i am going to turn 30 at least i can look good doing it right when the actual big day came these guys couldn t wait to give me my present i had been hearing about it for weeks and how it was going to be the best present of all time i have to say getting a brand new ipad air totally made my day i m so excited about it and the kids are even more excited richard and the kids made the day extra special we went out to lunch went shopping trey even scored a basket for me at his basketball game and had a wonderful dinner we finished the night off with the amazing temptation cupcakes richard and the kids picked out all my favorites it was a really great day i thought my birthday fun was over but there was one more surprise in store for me my neighbor one of my bestest friends invited me out to lunch for my birthday so i met her at fredricos with harper on tuesday after i dropped jack off at the bus for school i thought she was crazy because she wanted to go find a seat before we got our food we walked to the back because she said it would be quieter back there and surprise all my favorite neighbor friends were there they really surprised me with balloons cake the whole deal i really do live in the best little neighborhood they all knew how much i have been dreading this and they just made it so special there was enough candles on this cake to start a small fire but hey at least it look like i m glowing here is to a great year but i will still continue to say i m 29 ish posted by the davidsons at 3 45 pm 1 comment
