the curlies the curlies wednesday november 7 2012 halloween 2012 what do you want to be for halloween this year charlize boots that s how it started you can t have boots the monkey without dora the explorer and dora and diego are like two peas in a pod and diego can t come without baby jaguar this may all sound confusing for anyone who doesn t follow kids shows it was fun to dress up and all but next year i m picking a costume that doesn t include a wig my head was so itchy and in case you wondered bree is definitely mark s child they looks so much alike posted by lj wightman at 3 10 pm 1 comment tuesday june 26 2012 baby bree aka bubba i think mark is rather embarrassed that i call our kids bub and bubba a lot it s not one of those things that i planned on doing it just kind of happened and after bree s 2 month check up i think bubba is especially fitting she s 95th percentile in weight and off the charts in height the nurse measured her twice to make sure she didn t measure wrong charlize has always been tall for her age too crazy considering mark and i are pretty average so our two month old is looking more like a four month old but we love her to pieces double chins and all she s started smiling when she s talked to especially in the morning after she s had a good sleep we re not sure who she looks like yet but most of the time people tell me she looks like daddy life for the last six months i m totally horrible at the whole blogging thing i forgot that i haven t updated anything for like the last six months so here it is in a nutshell along with pictures of our latest family addition baby bree first off charlize s 2nd birthday with a dora theme she thought i was the coolest mom ever to make her dora themed cupcakes or maybe she just thought i was the coolest mom ever because she got to eat cupcakes either way she was happy christmas came and went we found out we were having another girl charlize and i hung out daddy has a little sidekick named charlize and likes to do whatever he is doing valentine s day came and went we had our traditional fondue charlize was very excited just to hold pokey things we painted charlize s room and made her wall decor pictures since we couldn t find anything we liked we also painted our room it s nice to have some color in our house when we moved in everything was the same color about the color of those closet doors the wall the trim the ceilings not that it was a bad color but it s just nice to have some contrast i threw mark a little fiesta for his 35th birthday party but unfortunately i didn t get very many pictures of the occasion because i was manning the taquitos and tamales our niece was due about 1 week after me although i don t really want to admit it considering our size differences charlize liked to pretend to have a big belly as well i think she understood the idea of a baby coming or at least i like to think she did we took advantage of the fact that my brothers family was in town from france and took a family photo not my idea of perfect timing considering i was 9 months pregnant but oh well my grandpa tidwell passed away at age 95 it was sad to have him leave this earth but we were all very happy for him to be reunited with his wife of 70 years she passed away about 4 years ago this is the last picture i have of him back in december of 2011 charlize took a trip with her daddy and cousins up to rexburg a few weeks before i was due to welcome home mark s nephew from his mission she liked to play with all her cousins a k a friends we went to a japanese festival the weekend before i was induced and our friend from the ward gave her this umbrella that she is obsessed with i m about ready to burst and now to highlight our latest addition bree loann wightman born on april 30 2012 weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and measuring 21 5 inches and to our surprise she had lots of dark hair the labor and delivery was great i was induced and had an epidural i love modern day medicine one push to turn her because she was posterior and one push to get her out done and done charlize has adjusted well and doesn t seem to be jealous she does seem to be a bit more wild than i remember but maybe i m just more lethargic which makes her seem more energetic it was nice to have the in laws here for a week with their dog mozy who kept charlize occupied poor dog and bree seems to be fitting in just great she has slept longer at night which has been a blessing to everyone she loves to snuggle which makes it hard for me to want to put her down i m totally in love with her already carmen mexico the beach was the most beautiful we have seen in our trips it was so nice to be able to just sit and relax and not chase around a 21 month old active girl thanks to jon and monica for watching her we are forever in your debt here are a few pictures to make you all jealous can you believe mark is 34 and still doing back flips on the beach he s amazing beautiful resort it had some jungle areas and it was a little muggy so i m glad we brought bug spray especially after the first night when we got eaten the water was so calm you could see fish where you walked we took advantage mark and a few of his co workers decided to do a triathlon together in scofield utah mark did amazingly well especially considering charlize woke up at 4am and didn t go back to sleep we tried putting her in bed with us and kept telling her it was night night time but i think since we never put her in bed with us she thought it was fun and kept popping up her head and pointing saying mommy daddy like it was so cool she was between us the triathlon had a good set up for charlize and i we got to hang out in the car a great controlled environment for a toddler and a mom trying to keep track of her and mark passed on his bike and run ending results mark got 4th in his age group oh so close to standing on the podium and receiving a plaque posted by lj wightman at 12 38 pm 1 comment underage
