the dickens five the dickens five a happy family is but an earlier heaven john bowring april 1 2020 end of the road this will be my last pregnant post tomorrow morning at 8 30am we report to the hospital to be induced it s a pretty overwhelming thought i know i have done this 2 other times but it still feels like i am going into the great unknown i will never be able adequately to put into words the mix of emotions that are playing through my mind tonight i sit here feeling amazingly blessed this is our miracle pregnancy and tomorrow we will meet our miracle baby 3 years ago as we were deep in the middle of brandon s cancer i could have never guessed where we would be today this pregnancy in many ways has taken on a sacred feeling for me and even at my most uncomfortable i have felt such happiness it is a perspective i did not have with my other pregnancies the gratitude i feel for a heavenly father who has allowed us to be blessed so deeply is overwhelming i have the greatest husband in the world and the 2 most amazing funny and smart kids now i get to meet this new little girl and watch her develop wish us luck from september 11 2008 posted by tawny at 6 55 am no comments moving that s right the dickens are on the move it is so bitter sweet i love my house when we moved here 7 years ago this house was pink with a pretty sparkly rock roof it had a disgusting yard filled with rabbit poop and ugly bushes every room was dedicated to a different theme down to the wallpaper the kitchen was my personal favorite with it s navy blue cows and torn flooring but i loved it even then and over the last few years we have redone the whole thing when i walk from room to room i see my family reflected in all the details i love the soft browns and blues of the paints the oatmeal color of carpets the perfect plantation shutters that my sister in law helped me pick out the refinished tub and shower that allowed us to no longer be engulfed by pepto bismal pink every time we walked into the bathroom i love the yard with it s soft green grass flagstone patio and redwood swing set but it s time to move on posted by tawny at 6 54 am no comments catch up posted by tawny at 6 that we get lots of visitors who come by and see us on their vacations we recently had one of brandon s friends from his mission come and stay with us my kids loved having 4 other kids around the house to play with and the grown ups had a great time visiting and trying to keep the chaos under somewhat control posted by tawny at 6 50 am no comments mother s day weekend happy belated mother s day to all the wonderful moms out there we had a wonderful weekend on friday night brandon and austin went to the father son outing this is austin s favorite weekend of the year he had a countdown going all week and could barely contain himself before they left it is really an amazing feeling to watch my little man and my big man share such a wonderful bond and to see how much they both love to spend time together he is already talking about all the fun they will have next year on saturday we took brandon s mom and dad out to dinner to chevy s it was such a perfect evening the kids were pretty good and we even ordered desert on sunday my family came to our house for dinner it is so fun to have my sister s kids here the cousins play together so well and they really love to be together of course i can t forget to give a big thanks to my wonderful hubby he does so much for me around the house and in the yard and he pulled out all the stops he replanted the flower beds helped my clean the whole house and took the kids shopping for a gift for me my only request when aubrey and austin asked me what i wanted to mother s day was peace in our home and some extra sleep of course that doesn t work for my kids since they couldn t wrap it up so i got some beautiful new earrings austin wanted jewlery and aubrey said it had to be my birthstone they are so particular and they have great passionate about sports creative and funny but which is a word that aubrey s therapist says i should never use because it negates anything i have said before it today i m rebelling he s been a total stinker lately last year we saw glimpses of the craziness he had in him best moment from last year the call from his teacher letting me know he had been caught climbing the urinals why you may ask
