the walstad wall skip to main skip to sidebar the walstad wall friday february 27 2009 snow play at preschool today it was about 50 degrees so the kids had outside play time in their snow covered park what fun posted by sandra at 11 08 am 4 comments thursday february 26 2009 the blue and gold cub scout dinner ct getting his bobcat award they had all the scouts make a cake for dessert they had to choose one of the fifty states as there theme so we picked pa pa is called the keystone state so i made a bundt cake and cut it in half to simulate a bridge as you may or may not know that the keystone is the center block in the bridge that hold the whole thing up then we covered it with white frosting because milk is the state drink then we had red swedish fish swimming under our bridge because brook trout is the state fish we also had lots of other interesting facts on and around out cake it was a fun little project and of course i forgot to take a picture hopefully you can visualize posted by sandra at 10 31 am 3 comments tuesday february 24 2009 cake decorating the ninja cake the temple cake even with angel moroni anyone for a slice of pizza i forgot the name of this one i m just going to call it the earthquake cake because it had a huge crack in the middle all the cakes were awesome and the kids had fun decorating them sorry this was a yw ym activity posted by sandra at 10 21 am 1 comment monday february 16 2009 winter break in pa n with bethany e with conner ct with his friend ty we had great fun seeing all our friends in pa again we stayed at the marriott and had lots of fun swimming while our friends were at school the oldest two had play dates every night thanks to all our friends we had a blast revisiting with you all again sorry i didn t get more pictures of everyone i guess i was so excited to see everyone that i didn t remember to take enough pics next time i will posted by sandra at 10 06 am 1 comment saturday february 14 2009 happy valentines day we had a great valentines day peter and i went out the night before for dinner at ninety nine it was good this morning i took n to swim lessons he is doing so good today he jumped off the block in to the water all by himself he did have a float around his stomach then later i took ct and cj skiing it was ct first time and he had a lot of fun they both had a lesson while mom took 5 or 6 runs by herself it was great the first time that i had been skiing in about 10 years then we all used the rope toe for a couple of hours while mom tried to teach the boys some more stuff we had a lot of fun posted by sandra at 9 48 am 2 comments wednesday january 28 2009 play dough fun e being ironman too they put the playdough on their chest and hands n made himself into ironman i got a great recipe for homemade play dough for n s preschool here it is it stay soft forever 2 cups flour 1 cup salt 4 tsp cream of tartar 2 cups water 2 tbsp oil food coloring mix in a medium saucepan until a ball forms and the dough is no longer wet knead on wax paper until dough is smooth put in plastic bag after total cooled the kids liked to play with it while it was warm posted by sandra at 6 46 am 4 comments thursday january 22 2009 pinewood derby cj took first place ct took 2nd place but it was really close ct has the red car cj has a red car too the one that is ahead a little cj sweating a little ct s car is slightly ahead the pinewood derby was lots of fun this is the first one peter has attended because he is so scared that the boys cars won t be good so far every car that he has helped with has come 1st or 2nd not to bad but he still sweats the boys were very excited we encouraged them to be good sports because they know that not everyone can win ct is hoping for 1st next year and cj is done he will be moving up to boy scouts in april posted by sandra at 6 16 am 1 comment older posts home subscribe to posts atom the family blog archive 2009 9 february 5 snow play at preschool the blue and gold cub scout dinner cake decorating winter break in pa happy valentines day january 4 2008 42 december 7 november 8 october 12 september 13 august 2 about me sandra i am married to the most wonderful man we have four beautiful sons this makes life crazy and fun i am a nurse so not much phases me although not working for the last 5 years i am lucky enough to stay at home with my kids i would say my interests are anything that has to do with water sports and generally jack of all trades master of none view my complete profile my blog list tellepa corner kerri tin roof stretch element
