time keeps ticking time keeps ticking saturday january 16 2010 i ve been tagged seven i was tagged by my good friend mama boss so i guess that i get to share seven things about myself i am not so good at tagging other people so if you read this consider yourself tagged i would love to know more about you ok so here we go 1 i am the mother of two crazy boys who have more energy than i will ever have between the two of them they can think of the craziest thing to do and get into it does make life interesting and will probably just become more so as they grow older cause they will just get more creative with the things they do 2 i love to sing i haven t been in a choir in a long time and miss it so much i wish that there was someway for me to sing more often 3 i like making crafts although i go in spurts of doing a lot of things then not doing anything for the longest time 4 i love to read although i don t have anything to read so if you have any good ideas for me please share 5 i never realized that the thing i would miss most about going to work would be the adult interaction sometimes i just yearn to talk to someone older than 3 years old 6 i hate wall paper the house that we bought has wall paper in every room we have painted a few rooms but it is a slow process i should get mad at my kids for pealing it off the walls because we aren t ready to paint the room but i am secretly glad to see it go 7 i am lucky to have a husband who works very hard to provide for our family allowing me to stay home with the kids i love you tyler ps sorry it took me so long crissy but here it is posted by jenn h at 7 33 pm no comments wednesday january 13 2010 grant s spiderman birthday grant turned three last week we had a party for him last night with family grant loves spiderman and received many gifts related to spiderman grant s awesome spiderman cake okay i am bias i mad it but i think i did a pretty awesome job grant and some of his presents okay this wasn t a gift i just put it in to show just how much he loves spiderman i can t believe my big boy is already 3 posted by jenn h at 12 15 pm 4 comments monday january 11 2010 christmas 2009 i know that i am so bad at updating this blog please forgive me we had an awesome christmas and got to spend some good time together with family at least that is while ty wasn t working the boys got to see santa two times this year although hunter wasn t so sure about it unless he had someone sitting with him this is a stick horse that i made well i made two of them one for each boy they are so much fun and pretty easy to make thanks emily for making them with me we also made gingerbread houses with grant and amber b it was a lot of fun we even cut out the pieces and baked them this is a picture of the plate that we thing that my little boy loves to do it is climb he started out small just climbing into the bottom drawer of my new cabinets but then he moved up to bigger feats climbing on the couch by himself chairs top of the table almost anywhere you can name the other day changed grant and realized that what he really needed was a bath well bath time is hunter s favorite time of day but he was already dressed so i didn t want to put him in while i was dealing with the diaper for two seconds hunter climbed on in to the tub clothes and all he was very proud of himself posted by jenn h at 1 24 pm 3 comments tuesday october 13 2009 cooking with mom one of grant s favorite things to do is help cook i enjoy his help most of the time unless it involves the stove or something hot i know that i always enjoyed helping my dad cook one of the things that i always helped dad make was raspberry delight it was my job well i decided to make it for a relief society activity a while ago and grant decided he needed to help me all i could think about was how much fun i used to have helping my dad it was fun to have him help me i wish that i could make this with my dad again but luckily i have someone to help me raspberry delight crust 2 cups flour 1 2 cup butter 1 2 cup brown sugar 1 2 cup chopped pecans mix all together and bake at 375 for 15 mins then press all but one cup into a 9x13 pan save the rest for the top middle 2 pkgs of dream whip 1 8oz pkg cream cheese 1 cup powder sugar prepare dream whip as directed on the package add the rest of the ingredients and cream spread on top of the crust top 1 pkg danish dessert raspberry 1 1 2 cup cold water 1 pkg frozen raspberries in a small sauce pan add water and danish dessert stir continuously until boiling stir while boiling for 1 min add frozen raspberries pour over the dream whip sprinkle remaining crust on top chill several hours before serving posted by jenn h at 1 27 pm 7 comments saturday july 18 2009 fish and more fish tyler decided that we should take grant fishing so we went to the store and bought him a little pole so that they could each use one grant enjoyed it but didn t last very long it was good and gave him an idea what it was all about to bad he and dad didn t catch anything i think he would have liked seeing the fish and touching it a few days before my mom and i took the boys to the aquarium it was a lot of fun grant liked it but had more fun looking at all the stuff in the gift shop hunter loved it he would crawl over to the steps and climb up so he could see all the fish then when you picked him up new additions to our family or should i say zoo tyler got his father s day present early last week in the form of two little kittens our neighbor s cat had kittens so we were able to get two of them for free they are brother and sister and love playing with each other this is abby named after abby on ncis this is dusty just liked the name the boys love the kitties these pictures are from the
