travels with lunette travels with lunette thirteen doll makers and a little doll sunday january 20 2013 sand today lunette went to the beach with jenny and her family it has been a lovely warm summer and last time the family went to the seaside lunette had to stay home this time she whinged and whined until jenny said yes but no swimming perhaps though if i show how good i am at floating in the swim ring she will let me look i can even lie on my tummy and kick please let me go in the water i will take off all my clothes and lie in the sun i ll get really hot and then she will have to take me for a swim but jenny said no no swimming for you lunette it isn t safe for little dolls and then she just walked off to explore the beach hmmm thought lunette there s more than one way to swim at the trueheart there are lots of cats at this house but lunette loves badger the best he is the only boy cat and she thinks he is a prince prince trueheart he keeps his tuxedo so bright and clean his long white whiskers are always sparkling and he loves a smooch and a cuddle his sister shackleton spends her time finding the ultimate hiding spot and lunette cannot catch her or even find her old phoebe the black cat thinks she is a statue and will put up with anything not much fun to cuddle though as she likes to hold onto the object of her affection with her claws and lunette doesn t want a claw in her leg and the elusive miss maggie so soft so pretty and so difficult to catch always just out of reach taunting poor little lunette so she is in love with badger prince trueheart i haven t dared to pinterest sunday november 4 2012 in the countryside yesterday we all went to visit a lovely country garden the countryside here in tasmania is very fresh and green and there are lots and lots of buttercups growing with the grass in the fields we passed lots of sheep and cows and trees and cottages the garden was very pretty with beautiful flowers and trees and even a little creek at the bottom of the garden with some very strange dragonflies flitting around poor jenny got a leech on her leg and it sucked lots of blood and grew very big and fat i was sooooo glad that i was being carried and didn t have to be down with the leeches i was also glad the very friendly dog coco didn t get to carry me away like she wanted to oh dear i did get to sit with the wallabies though but they weren t very fluffy i don t think they were real but they seemed to like me we had to take a break from the sunshine because it was getting very warm and we sat on the seat and ate some lunch we saw lots of very busy bees they were stumbling around in the flowers as though they had been drinking too much fizzy cordial we saw some fairy wrens too and i m sure i saw a little jenny wren but they were too quick for us to take a picture of they were just near this fence post though i m so glad my new best friend held my hand while i sat on the fence because there is prickly barbed wire near my feet and and electric wire behind me and some big cows in the paddock too i think the countryside would be a little dangerous for a tiny world traveller if she didn t have a new best friend i am having a wonderful time though so don t worry about me there are lots of other doll children here who i will introduce you to when jenny takes some pictures and jenny has lots of books and toys and share to facebook share to pinterest sunday october 28 2012 welcome to the playroom just after lunch today when i was sitting in the back garden knitting i heard the dog next door barking crazily which usually means that the parcel postman is coming to my house today there were four parcels two with mohair yarn for dolly hair one with mohair wefts for dolly hair and one box full of magic and love and a little doll called lunette i gave her a hug and checked that she was all in one piece and then we opened the other parcels she took some convincing that i wasn t about to give her new hair with all the makings of dolly hair all around us but once i had placed her cute new crown on her head she was happy and we went out to the garden for a little look around she blew on the dandelion and figured it was around 2 30 she managed to stay awake until my daughter came home from school and then i could see she was getting sleepy it had been a big day we popped her into her pretty pyjamas and showed her the cosy bed she climbed in cuddling her snuggly bear blankie and made sure there was a spot for rabbit as well and butterfly i m sure i saw her sleepy eyes open a little wider when she saw all the books and toys and caught sight of all the other girls waiting to meet her up on the window seat but that will have to wait first a story charlie has decided she is lunette s big sister and she read her the new belle and boo story book lunette s eyelids were getting heavier and heavier charlie told her about all the adventures the dollies have in the playroom lunette smiled a sleepy to pinterest monday july 16 2012 lunette goes to ottawa on friday i had to go to ottawa and thought this would be a great time to take lunette and show her canada s capitol ottawa is about 4 hours from us so we got ready for a road trip we stopped along the way to stretch our legs and to look at the lakes and rivers when we arrived downtown we saw a military band marching towards parliament hill many people had gathered in front of the parliament buildings looking over their heads we saw why the changing of the guards took place how cool is that after watching the marching band and military drills performed by the ceremonial guard for a while we got hot and decided to go see the rideau canal in the back of parliament hill in the winter it is the longest outdoor skating ring lunette climbed on one of the cast iron fences to pose for a picture it was getting very hot and we spend the rest of our stay shopping in air conditioned stores and then made our way back home we stopped along the way in petawawa where our family lived years ago to show lunette the ottawa river with all the little islands can you see how dry the grass is we had a wonderful trip and lunette
