missed everyone i can type this because i have a little free time because we are at the in laws house and they are playing with the babies so i got to get a shower and get ready lol so i have a little time so i wanted to write a post to tell you all how thankful i am for each and every one of you you got me through my infertility trials with smiles and for that i am so very thankful how tired of that word are y all lol anywho while we have been home we took some pictures for christmas cards this year i wasn t prepared so our outfits are what they are i need help picking between a few of them here they are 1 2 3 it is incredibly difficult to get them to smile at the same time with me taking the pictures with them i can get them to smile but not when i m in the picture with them here are vanna sorry i never got around to telling y all how these sweet babies got here my last appointment was on friday may 15th i was still dilated to only 1 cm and i was 80 effaced with braxton hicks contractions i was kind of bummed because i was hoping he would send me on to the hospital but there was no need so i went home and went for a walk to no avail nothing happened so i was scheduled for induction on monday may 18th i was to be at the hospital at 0700 sunday night was like waiting on santa to come i didn t sleep a wink when i decided to get out of bed i got ready and put on a little makeup hoping some of it would last through labor for after pictures lol while i was getting ready my phone rang it was a nurse from the hospital saying my doctor had asked that i stay home until they notify me because the labor unit was packed to the max and there were no rooms especially for me who was not yet in labor i immediately threw myself a pity party and cried i felt like such a brat for doing so i was just so excited i was so worried that they were going to have to reschedule me for another day and then my doctor wouldn t be able to deliver me so my husband took me to get breakfast we came back home and decided to try and lay back down as soon as we got back in bed my phone rang it was my doctor on the line which immediately scared me thinking he was personally calling me to reschedule i was wrong he just wanted to be the one to tell me to come on in i just love my doctor so we loaded up the car and drive the 7 minutes it takes to get there this is me on the curb standing with our bags waiting on mr b to park the car we made it upstairs to the 3 rd floor checked in and went to my room it was huge i teared up when i saw the two warmers they would soon put my babies in i got all dressed up in my hospital gown and they started my iv with maintenance fluids running no pitocin yet a my nurse just so happened to be a girl i went to nursing school with i was so excited to see a familiar face she was so sweet my ob came in and said he wanted to do one last scan to make sure both babies were both head down they were at my last ultrasound a week before but there was an 11 degradation in their sizes and baby b my sweet renee was biggest so in this case both babies needed to be head down in order for me to be able to deliver vaginally well lo and behold my ob had the ultrasound at the top of my belly and there was a big ol head so for a csection we went we did have to wait a while because i had eaten breakfast before arriving and with any anesthesia you run the risk of aspiration so you must be npo for atleast 6 hours prior so we were set for 1 o clock this labor and delivery unit has their own or so we just walked down the hall and hopped on the table and they started my spinal that may have been the weirdest experience it s very strange feeling the pressure of a needle in your spine but not painful at all i had made a special request that they not put my foley catheter in until my spinal was in full effect again my nurse was so sweet they got started then brought mr b back i loved having him sir by my head he had zero interest in looking over the drape to see what was happening at 13 16 my sweet baby boy came into this world screaming i laughed and cried as soon as i heard that sweet sound they wrapped him up and brought him around and i kissed that wet cheesy little face and they took him to the warmer i could immediately breath better without two entire babies hanging out inside of me then at 13 17 my sweet baby girl arrived also screaming and tee teeing as soon as she hit the air she was brought to me but was rooting so much when i tried to kiss her cheek she would move her head mr b went to the warmers and took pictures and gawked they put the babies in his arms and took this picture goodness gracious i love this man that smile is just amazing mr b went with the nursery nurses along with the babies while they closed me up they took me to recovery where i was reunited with my hubby and brand new babies they put them both on my chest and they both started nursing such a surreal feeling i did get a few doses of pain medicine to help with the cramping they bolus pitocin after delivery to assist in clamping your uterus down and prevent a lot of bleeding which hurts the incision didn t hurt but that cramping was something else they had me feeling super good lol we stayed in recovery for about 30 minutes and had to move me out because they had another patient delver her 27weeker and the mama wasn t doing so hot we made it to our postpartum room and got to spend about 40 minutes alone with just us and our new family before mandatory quiet time was over and the flood gates opened at one point there were 17 people in our room as irritating as that was we are so blessed to have so many people care about us and love us and that s it i will update another day on home life as it is pretty busy i think about 18th by vanna ladies and gents we have a date monday monday is the day i go in to get these sweet babies out i will be 37 weeks and 4 days i have one more appointment on friday for one more scan to be sure baby a pierce is head down and then we will schedule a time yay this is all contingent of the little boogers not coming before then on their own at my appointment today we did a cervical check and i am still just 1 cm dilated however i think he stirred the pot a little bit because i have been having contractions ever since they are not painful just annoying nor are they regular or close enough for major cervical change my last day of work was supposed to be this friday but after today i talked with my boss about just not coming back in because we really need these babies to stay in until friday night at the earliest and tomorrow the ob unit is going to be hopping there is one repeat c section and one induction coming in then there are two cervidil inductions that are already there i just don t have the energy to be that busy tomorrow or friday and my boss totally understands that may not sound like a lot but we usually have 2 nurses per shift and we also care for the postpartum patients as well which there are currently 5 i m so thankful for my boss these days she has been so understanding when i talked to her today she actually thanked me for working as log as i have how awesome anywho i have finished washing everything that i m willing to take the tags off of and we put together their rock n plays what they will sleep in beside our bed tonight so now my job is to rest i suppose which is hard because i ve been off the last few days and i ve been bored y all need to kick up the posting so i have more to read i hope everyone is having a good day today all induction may 18th perfect date pregnancy twins washing clothes 10 comments 27 apr 2015 more than a bumpdate by vanna so today i am 34 weeks and 3 days and so ready for my sweet little aliens to be here mr b and i have been very busy over the last few weeks on my birthday april 2nd that night at dinner he told me he had been offered a job as offensive coordinator at a new school one hour away from where we currently live i knew this was coming since our good friend had taken the head coaching position at this same high school and they had always talked about working together like this until mr b gets his own head coach position i cried i cried a lot we couldn t have designed a worse time to move to sell our house for me to find a new job to have twins since then everything has gotten much better but still a little stressful i came up with an agreement with my current manager for a new schedule that allows me to work every monday and every other weekend which allows me so much time at home with the babies keeping my job was very important for me because that was one thing that wasn t changing thank goodness it saved my sanity really now we are trying to sell our house it has been on the market for about two weeks now and has been shown many times we decided to redo the hardwood flooring and picked a really nice guy who we think just didn t know how to work with this material so now we are having to redo the flooring a second time which kind of pisses me off because all of these potentials buyers can t see what the final product will look like we have a new floor guy who will get started this week ugh it doesn t seem like much but believe me living this and worrying that these babies could come anytime during this chaos is a constant stressor so how about a bumpdate we are 34 weeks and 3 days 3 1 2 more weeks stretch marks arrived last week but they are still skin toned and not red and super ugly yet my wedding rings have been off for a long time i ve been wearing a ring that was always too big i started weekly cervical checks and nsts at the hospital two weeks ago both cervical checks revealed that my cervix is closed very thin and low my nsts have been reactive and normal with some contractions but nothing to write home about my total weight gain has been 24 lbs so far i am so pleased i cannot wait for my little aliens to get get here and to snuggle i packed our hospital bags ours and the babies next we need to put the car seats in my car and we will be all set i will leave you with a picture my coworker took when i stopped by to
