finest and freshest from the sea about about us what s happening awards job opportunities contact us memories made at wcyc reservations banquets loyalty menu cocktail menu wine list dessert menu happy hour fair winds and following seas twenty eight years ago we took a leap of faith and opened walnut creek yacht club we had a dream and a plan which led us to build something truly special now we have had to make the most difficult decision of our 28 years after long and thoughtful consideration we have made the decision to close walnut creek yacht club and set sail on the next challenge of our lives retirement this was by no means an easy decision it s an emotional one as we look back on all the memories relationships and milestones we ve shared with our staff and our guests we have talked with others who wished to keep wcyc sailing but this craft was built with our blood sweat and tears and we knew that if someone else took the helm she might not weather any new storms that could come her way to preserve her legacy and ensure that everyone could remember her as she was we decided it was best to sail her into port and tie her safely to the dock since the beginning wcyc has been about more than just food wine and cocktails it s been a place where friendships formed celebrations took place and stories were shared over the years you welcomed us into your life allowing us to be part of your birthdays anniversaries graduations and so much more wcyc has become a part of your family traditions and that is one of our greatest honors we have seen children grow up and return with their children we have seen families lose loved ones and come here to celebrate their memories with us because this was their favorite place your support and trust have been the foundation of our success and for that we will be forever grateful we have been through many challenges on this journey including all the regular ups and downs of running a restaurant and your loyalty carried us on together we ve grown celebrated and built lasting memories that will forever be a part of wcyc s legacy we are incredibly proud of what we have built with our amazing crew some of whom have been with us for many years together we created a space known for exceptional hospitality great food wine cocktails and good times reaching 28 years in this business is an amazing feat and we are very proud of that our last day of service will be on our anniversary may 7th marking the beginning of what would have been our 29th year we invite you to stop by in the coming weeks to celebrate reminisce and toast to this incredible journey we will keep you posted on the new restaurant coming to this space so keep your eye out for a new scuttlebutt though our doors will close walnut creek yacht club will live on in the memories we ve created together thank you with heartfelt gratitude chef kevin ellen gift cards memorabilia merchandise as we prepare to close we want to make sure our guests have time to use any remaining golden envelopes loyalty rewards and gift cards we will also have wcyc merchandise and memorabilia for sale after we close so that you can take home a piece of wcyc gift cards all wcyc gift cards remain valid however we will not be selling any more gift cards as of today you can also use them for merchandise and wine in the weeks after we close we are working on an option in that the new restaurant in this space will honor them too if you prefer not to use yours we will offer a buyback option loyalty rewards any awards earned from points can be redeemed until we close they are not redeemable for cash we will stop issuing new points today we will no longer accept new member sign ups as of today golden envelope prizes please redeem any outstanding prizes by may 1 as they will expire on that date memorabilia wine sale from may 12 16 may 19 23 and may 26 30 we ll be at wcyc packing up and selling memorabilia wine and merchandise at discounted prices we will also be buying back gift certificates during this time this is your chance to take home a keepsake from the restaurant stop by between 12pm and 6 pm on those dates to pick something up to say hello bid farewell and toast the future thank you again for your support love and loyalty we look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks walnut creek yacht club 1555 bonanza st walnut creek ca 94596 monday thursday 11 30am 9pm friday and saturday 11 30am 10pm open for indoor and outdoor dining our outside patio seating we call it the aft deck can be fully enclosed and heated tel 925 944 fish fax 925 944 3405 designed with wordpress we re now closed thank you to everyone for your incredible support
