strawberries he always found them a bit sour a bit dry a bit nothing to write home about his parents loved strawberries and for any occasion no matter how small strawberries and ice cream was the first in a week of oxymorons aileen had misplaced her car keys they weren t where they should be which was on the book shelf in the living room slap bang in front of a copy of rudyard kipling s jungle book or maybe an inch or so along in front of daniel defoe s moll flanders the keys simply were not there maybe her husband had borrowed her car he often did if he wanted to quickly pop down to the shops to get something like milk or a packet of cigarettes when he came back he always dumped the keys in the wrong place often not even on the shelf where they were meant to be but in front of the
