skirt to bodice stitch put the dress inside in pinned what needed to be taken in which was 3cm on both sides i traced the stitching lines sewed them ran a gathering stitch on the skirt and sewed it back in this dress is now a bloody mess inside but this is no change from it s original state so i can live with that it ll need to be hand washed to prevent damages but this is the extend of my found some bias in stash that matched perfectly and applied that to the armholes and collar 3 hours fitting and sewing and i decided to keep the placket even if i didn t know how to turn corners properly i thought i did but really i didn t so that complicated the process some more as i had to pick and unpick about 6 times 3 hours pinning sewing unpicking until i saw this tutorial in burdastyle which explained it but the damage had been done all this unpicking poked some holes in the fabric and it took me quite a bit of time 2 hours to find a way so it wouldn t show so much and now the dress is a bit shorter than my favorite below the knee frankly at one point it was on the way to the ufo pile but you know what i m stubborn and i finished it yesterday i tricked my me made june fellows into believing that it looked good the bodice is a too big i left too much ease because i was afraid it would open up at the chest i ll have to go back in for minor adjustments or find a déjà ça de pris puis j ai pris quelques décisions qui allaient compliquer considérablement le processus j ai trouvé un biais dans ma cachette qui allait parfaitement que j ai appliqué aux emmanchures et au col 3 heures de coupe et de couture puis j ai décider de garder la boutonnière en pensant savoir comment tourner des coins alors que franchement je n en savais rien 3 heures de faire et défaire 6 fois jusqu à ce que je trouve le tutoriel burdastyle qui explique bien mais tout ce travail de découd vite à fait des dommages irréparables au tissu et ça m a pris un peu de temps pour le camoufler 2 heures maintenant la robe est un poil plus courte que ma longueur préférée juste en dessous du genou franchement à ce stade j ai cru qu elle finirait dans la pile des projets non identifiés mais je viens de vous dire que je suis têtue alors je l ai finie hier je l ai photographié pour me made june mais j ai utilisé un vieux stratagème pour vous faire croire qu elle me va bien le corsage est trop
