tuesday july 3 2012 black bayou we did nt go home visit family in utah over the summer so we stayed busy doing stuff around town that we had not done before we found a gem of a place it was cypress black bayou recreation area we just went for the day and bbq hotdogs and ate chips it was super warm and the kids had a great time however miss caribbean spoiled pants asked upon her first step into the water why is the water so dirty you cant even see to the bottom i said its not the caribbean girly it was really funny and i now i am thinking it s going to be hard to impress all of us now at any beach but we had a great time any way and will for sure be going back posted by brianna at 3 48 pm 2 comments wednesday june 20 2012 bronsen s kindergarten graduation bronsen s graduation was great they sang the cutest songs and looked so grown up he had a great kindergarten year and his teacher said she doesn t think she will ever have a kindergartener as smart as b again he is such a sweet boy and has really loved his first year of school one of the last things the kindergarteners got to do was beach day they had a huge sand pile water slide popsicle hula hoops and limbo the fire department came and sprayed the kids down with fire hoses i have never wanted to be a fireman so badly kalli even got to join the fun they had so much fun they never wanted it to end posted by brianna at 3 49 pm no comments friday june 1 2012 t ball spring 2012 this was our 2nd session in one year and we were so busy ben was b s coach again it was so busy between kalli and bronsen we were at practice or a game days a week they both got a lot better and kalli even caught a few line drives to win the game we are a family of baseballers and even finn can t get enough see my facebook link the cutest little some glow in the dark paint too super fun but the baby was terrified and refused to even be in the bathroom when we were in there with the glowing water he is such a baby haha but i guess kalli did look pretty scary now i am planning all sorts of fun with the blacklight posted by brianna at 5 32 pm 3 comments friday march 30 2012 throw me something mister happy mardi gras since being in la we decided that we were going to go to a mardi gras parade and see what the hoopla is all about we went to the krewe of centar parade and sat in the family friendly zone we had a great time and the kids got to finallly go to a parade however it was freezing for la and the kids had coats and hats and sat under a blanket this is the avatar float some big animal floats the babes didn t know what to make of the whole thing notice the beads hanging from the floats they are throwing these things by the handfuls kalli got pegged with a giant beaded necklace and it cut her lip she didn t let it stop her though she kept screaming throw me something mister i will have to keep an extra eye on that one this is bronsen the baby and i watching the last of the floats from the car with the heater on kalli and ben were tough and stayed out to collect all the loot i m guessing the mardi gras mask helped keep him warm right before the wimps went to the car this is all the stuff we collected from the 3 2012 bronsen s 2 wheelin since winter didn t last long around here i thought we should finally take b out to ride his bike without training wheels i felt super bad that he was 6 years old and couldn t ride a two wheeler but last summer in utah i was 8 months preggo and this summer in la it was 115 degrees out so i loaded the kids up with their bikes and took them to our church s parking lot and b jumped right on and took off so we spend about an hour enjoying the ride and the weather posted by brianna at 7 44 pm 1 comment saturday february 25 2012 bronsen s birthday for bronsen s birthday this year he wanted green eggs and ham for his birthday dinner and a giant cookie instead of a cake so that is what i made him and it was yummy he also wanted alvin and the chipmunks but we kept getting the same happy meal toy and so we only collected two out of three chipmunks but bronsen is a most flexible child and he said that it was fine because we had almost all of them but a few things about b at 6 years old your favorite thing about school is reading to your class you still love to play the wii with mommy you are a sweet big bother to the baby and are always the first to help him your big sister is your best friend you are the only kindergartener that eats all his lunch everyday you are a great artist and love to come up with new animals and tell stories about chickens who live on chicken world so goofy you are picking up a southern accent you still use your sleeve as a napkin you like to read geronimo stilton books you still turn upside down and on top of you covers when you trolley ride over christmas break we went to the louisiana boardwalk an out door mall right on the red river and did some window shopping they have this trolley that the kids love to ride on and so we
