ry other way i ve noticed she doesn t really feel like much of an introvert not in the somewhat broader socionical sense of the word anyway which overlaps with the pop psychology one but is more than that i interpret this as a merry logician who likes fe ing but isn t really good at it by herself so needs others to get the fe ball rolling and keep it rolling smoothly a serious logician for comparison would likely instead be like don t come at me with all that small talk another thing is her song in the now which to me reads surprisingly constructivist lyrically although unlike with that previous song i haven t heard or seen any quotes of her saying that this is based on her own experience or anything most of all though i hesitated to admit it to myself for a long while because i know great iee producers and composers exist and while composing is a ti thing it s not like a ti person is always inherently incapable of these things and developing their ti to some extent by this if they ve had a lot of practice but her whole approach to it when you think about it there s so much ti she seems to think about it all meticulously how all the pieces can be put together to create a complex whole how everything should be structured and so on her path to music was quite ti ish as well there are exceptions of course but the vast majority of iee musicians i ve come across did not have formal musical education much less in composition whereas she studied it ti is literally described as among other things thoughtlessness of actions and while that sounds rather negative indeed i feel like they don t put a lot of thought into how to piece together their music it s all kind of on a whim she does not make this kind of impression on me which doesn t confirm ile directly but it does weaken the case for iee considerably and since she s decidedly ne base in my view ile s the only thing left my impression is also that her music is to her more of a way to just freely experiment with sound rather than primarily a medium for expressing emotions as it would be for an ethicist why is it such a big deal to me that today s socionics section had to be so long well i ve mentioned it before already that ile is one of the types that i really like spotting part of it is that i rarely see them in general i ve met only one ile irl and have hardly talked to him personally they seem rare to come by in music as well but also i ve mentioned it briefly somewhere on this blog that in talanovism i seem to be an iei with an ile accent i m not entirely sure convinced of this and i really stunning celestial solo organ piece it is a prelude written by a very young british composer christopher churcher he composed this for organist tom bell in 2023 the composition takes its title from james agee s poem sure on this shining night the same poem which was set to music by samuel barber a few years after its publishing according to the composer the piece is inspired by the experience of slowly discovering the night sky it begins with delicate shimmering chords that sound like stars gradually appearing out of the darkness and grows into something much more powerful intense and grand resembling the sheer overwhelming vastness of the cosmos being blind i ve never seen the sky at night or otherwise but i wouldn t at all be surprised if it looked just like this piece sounds makes me understand why some people love to stargaze so much i suppose i would too the rendition of it i m sharing is played by anna lapwood a great english concert organist and the official organist of the royal albert hall the first ever person to hold the role she has a huge social media following especially on tiktok and among other things she spent nearly a decade as director of music at pembroke college cambridge where she conducted the chapel choir and founded the pembroke college girls choir a fun fact for bibiel hears things given that we have a lot of harp music here is that anna lapwood s first study was actually the harp she was principal harpist of the national youth orchestra of great britain and fully intended to become a professional harpist the imagine that i ve just slept through almost two entire days o i m not entirely sure how it happened myself i was just not feeling too great physically i mean i went to bed friday night and i woke up on saturday at 5 pm with a migraine so then i fell asleep again until 8 am today at which point the migraine was gone but instead i was having hypoglycaemia from not having eaten for two days i get that sometimes because of having septo optic dysplasia but my family were at church and when i have a hypo like this it s not the wisest idea for me to get out of bed certainly not after having been horizontal for over a day so i just fell asleep again no problem unfortunately though unlike with most everything else sleep does not seem to cure hypoglycaemia so next time i woke up around 1 pm i was feeling positively dreadful but luckily my mum was there so she brought me some food so i spent my entire minimal energy reserves on eating then fell into bed again feeling totally exhausted fell asleep for like half an hour and then woke up feeling basically reborn and fizzing with energy so i decided to put it to good use one of the things i did with it was i decided to finally try and translate one of my faza peeps griff lynch s songs into english so that i could feature it on my blog i was yapping so much last october that griff s album is not going to be merely a flavour of the month for me but a flavour of the whole year if not much longer than that and this has unsurprisingly to me been very much true except maybe you wouldn t have guessed it from this blog because ever since october i have not shared anything from griff s album here part of that was because with my major faza peeps i m always low key worried not to overdo it so that my blog wouldn t look hella monothematic but the other much more bothersome part for me was that i still had not translated a single song by griff in its entirety i had a lot of bits and pieces from each one that i understood but nothing whole and coherent that i could present to the outside world and if i m writing a post featuring griff the song deserves to get a proper translation doesn t it i was so scared i would just never be able to translate anything or would butcher it beyond belief so that i got myself into such a state that i was positively dreading writing the next griff post maybe it s my influx of energy that did it or maybe it s the help of jack or maybe that i think i picked a song which i think i d already figured out the most of no idea in any case i m quite happy with the result and so i decided not to wait however long with it and share it right away even though it s almost 3 am i ll feel more fulfilled finishing the day night having published it than with it still sitting there like at least i did something more this weekend beyond sleeping my brain off it s entirely possible that the translation itself isn t as great as i currently think but i m so self satisfied about having finished it you have no idea i think much like y pethau heb eu dweud the things unsaid which i shared last october this is also one of the seriously underrated songs on this album which is also why i m very happy to be sharing this one as the second non single from it i wrote in that previous post that griff was inspired by welsh idioms for a lot of the titles of the songs on this album and i r pant y rhed y dŵr also happens to be an idiom i decided to translate it literally in the post title and the song translation itself to the hollow runs the water because in the song griff takes that hydrologic imagery further and it wouldn t make sense otherwise but as an idiom the closest english one seems to be success breeds success same disclaimer as always i m neither a welsh nor an english native speaker so errors are very much possible in fact i also transcribed the song myself so any potential errors might have happened at that stage one little word in there i m not entirely sure whether i heard correctly so i m putting it in brackets and one line has a footnote because it has a bit of a double meaning imo but before the song the socionics section but bibiel perhaps some of the more attentive of you will say you have already typed griff lynch in socionics haven t you yes i have typed him esi and fvel in psychosophy for good measure very attentive you are indeed dear reader but that was before i d properly committed to talanovism and i ve always known that in talanov s approach griff may well be an esi too but not just an esi not a pure esi pure esi is like my mum griff and my mum may have some things in common but they re not some strikingly similar people i just never could figure out what exactly that accent would be maybe because all accents in talanov sound so weird and pathological and exaggerated i guess non pathological less jarring versions of these accents must exist too though so i thought i d try to take this one single song apart and see what comes out what do we have here a decent amount of ni that s something that very frequently shows up in griff s songwriting surprisingly for an esi because the average esi has below average ni this song actually doesn t have half as much of it as some others do valued te very much te is esi s suggestive function so the pure esi does value it moreover while your suggestive function is generally very low their te is on average higher than their fellow te suggestive type eii s so esis are not clueless about it however the feeling i m getting from this song is that griff wants to be better at te than he is which aligns with what the suggestive function feels like to most people generally gamma quadra values gamma types are lie esi see and ili also seriousness descending that aligns with esi esi is serious negativism that s also right esi is negativist contrary to that page negativists are actually really cool cause they have high standards in life and aren t just happy their way an anti de peep would certainly not see themselves as part of the we who are watching the only screen anti de is beyond that i m telling you that as an iei lol i ain t gonna watch what everybody else s watching even if it s the only thing the whole world is airing eugh it s normie but my claude project i really ought to give it a more normal name and not call it my claude project all the time says that this could be anti de precisely because the lyrical subject sees himself in a different position than most other people where most other people receive what they want need through ordinary channels of exchange by being well connected or whatever he must go dive for that which separates him from all them boring normies just as effectively as being elite would the search for special paths and original work privilege earned by one s own craftsmanship i m not sure if it really works like that but if it does it could make sense esi s de isn t much higher at all than that
