created a new instrument that used neutral wording in her questions to dig deeper into their experiences with nonconsensual sex 92 she focused on women college students and found the prevalence of consequences of harassment which were mostly reported as victims leaving their jobs overall concluded that harassment is widespread has negative consequences and impacts a variety of victims this method has been critiqued for ignoring the need for reliability and validity in its measures 128 uniform crime report ucr edit the uniform crime report ucr served as the basis for reaching statistics on the prevalence of rape against women in the 1980s 129 although this survey was useful it was often criticized for underestimating the true prevalence of rape critics argued that one of the main
