in with a quick card for one of my favourite challenge blogs just us girls as soon as i saw this week s theme i just couldn t resist the fabulous sue has chosen cas and i do like myself a bit of cas i used this lovely ovalish die for my aperture i still haven t found out who it belongs to i really must be more careful with the packaging the little birdie is from spellbinders i think it s called little chickadee for the background i used the bubble technique that i saw chris stokes using so much fun i added stamping up melon mambo ink to a cup of water a few drops of washing up liquid and using a metal straw made lots of bubbles then swooshed technical term my paper gently across the bubbles let it dry and ta dah a bubbly background is born i made it into a shaker just to add a touch of colour and a sticker sentiment from mr holtz here s a close up for those of you who like myself suffer from bloggers blindness i m also entering into happy little stampers watercolour challenge as challenge and our theme this week is flowers a nice easy challenge i think you will agree sadly it will be my last as a dt member sniff sniff but do not fear i m not going far the lovely kylie owner of ats m has decided that one challenge blog is just not enough and the crazy but lovely lady has set up addicted to cas and has asked me to join the team this will be a fortnightly challenge and as its name suggests is strictly for the cas card makers amongst you we will also have some wonderful sponsors joining us so there will be prizes yippee our first challenge will go live on the 17th of november so do hope you can join us i m really sad to be leaving this team as they are all such a wonderful group of talented ladies and we have all bonded so well but quite a few of them will be on the new dt so we can still keep in touch right onto my card i embossed the frame with one of my stampin up wheels and white embossing powder the frame had previously been coated with pink pan pastels i raised it up with foam to give a little dimension and added a lovely piece of embossed card inside the flower was made with a sizzix bigs die and coloured with pan pastels the brad i made with my i top brad maker i will be leaving in a few days time for london to look after my friend dolly whom i m sure some of you remember as most of my time will be spent at hospital please forgive me if i m late passing by i would just like to thank irini of get creative lin of crafty cardmakers and kylie for being so understanding and allowing me to take a break from my dt obligations it s very much month its time for our card challenge over at get creative and we where given a wonderful sketch to work with now i hope you can all bear with me on this one and ignore any grammatical and spelling mistakes in this post as i seem to have mis placed my glasses we had a little party here last night until the small hours and on arising rather late i may add it seems they have disappeared even the spare pair have legged it so am definitely suffering from bloggers blindness and coupled with well shall we say with a little over indulgment it all adds up to a bit of a pigs ear in the blogging department dont you just hate spell check too many choices and none of them i can see properly so sorry i used some of my new stash from aintree finally i emossed the background with a lovely new folder from sizzix sorry box in the bin the stamp is from the vintage oval labels set by just rite and used the coordinating spellbinders die to cut the aperture a second just rite stamp for the sentiment also with a spellbinders label die i used su rich razzlebury and marina mist inks for the flowers well they where flowers to begin with i cut up some sfragidomania chipboard inked it in rich razzlebury and the double embossed it with utee added some over sized pearls to the centre and some ribbon from my stash here is the gorgeous sketch we had been given to inspire us and hopefully you 2012 by baileyrosy 34 how time flies its time for our fortnightly challenge over at crafty cardmakers the lovely mynnette is our host happy birthday for yesterday and she is asking us to create a card incorporating balloons of any description such a fun theme i m sure you will agree pop over to crafty cardmakers for all of the details this is the simple card i made for my dt piece i used my cameo to create the background paper and the 3d balloons the sentiment is from heard from the heart by su and stamped with marina mist thanks vicky i enjoyed the theme so much i made a second card another simple one again using my cameo to create the robot and the balloon cut outs added some glossy accent to the balloon and using the smile stamp i bought for a pound at aintree inked it up with su pumpkin pie we are kindly sponsored for this challenge by the stampman and lady of course who are offering the winner a 10 voucher for their store you can spend this online in the shop or if you re
