bryce and brittany skip to main skip to sidebar bryce and brittany tuesday november 15 2011 i figure blogging for me is a yearly thing haha i have been so bad at posting however here is an update of our life i finished my 1st year of nursing school alive and in 1 piece that is a huge accomplishment considering the first semester was crazy just cause its the first semester the second semester we had clinicals 2 days in a row up in odgen an hour and a half for me and 2 for some that we were suppose to be at 530 the only way to make it work was to get a hotel so yes got a hotel for almost every week in the semester so we could go from our ob clinical one day to our med surg the next it was really fun getting to really know some of the girls lets just put it that way ha the summer was nice bryce and i weren t working nearly as much as all the other summers bryce got a good job at vivant and made more working 40 hours a week than he did working 80 hours last summer ya wasn t a fun summer for him that year i was working as a pct full time until i got a job offer in the er a place i always wanted to work it was my dream i was not only shocked they called me for the interview but amazed that they wanted me the problem was that it was only for a prn position i really needed a benefited position for tution reimbursement so bryce and i could survive this school year well that offer ended up being a blessing in disguise because that same day my boss called me up and said i don t want you to leave i am going to make a counteroffer first off a counteroffer wow didn t know my boss loved me that much and first time i felt my school was paying off and i was getting a real job it took about a week but my manager was able to get another position for an lpn okay ed so not only was this a counteroffer but they had to make a new position for me a benefited one to it was a very hard decision to make however i knew that working as an lpn would not only be better experience but i would make more money and have the benefits i needed so i took the lpn job in a hurry so far i have been working as an lpn for about 4 months i got the job july ish maybe june and i have loved every minute of it i finally feel like a nurse and that schooling has paid off somewhat the floor i am working on is awesome to i am currently in my 3rd semester and it is about to end in 3 weeks i am not sad about it at all i can t wait to be done with school in april bryce wants me to do my bachelors i don t but i may have another year next year as far as bryce goes he has been studying pre med total 180 from where he used to be he is doing well in his classes he is aiming to go into podiatry bryce decided that it was best not to work this semester to concentrate on school that as well ended up being a blessing in disguise because he blew out his knee playing co ed bball well almost got his acl mcl both meniscus and bone bruising on both bones he is lucky he didn t get his lcl so this semester he has been my gimp he is doing really well a month and a half after surgery no crutches or braces and is swimming ya he swam last night for the first time usually they are just happy that they are off crutches at this time so he is doing really well we have about another 3 semesters in provo and i think we both can t wait to be done one way to describe our summer is sand volleyball it doesn t help that they recently changed directors of the nursing school the new lady is trying to implement all these new changes into this semester a month after getting the job which makes my life confusing haha it seems like nobody knows what is going on oh well the studying part is kicking my butt since i have been working way to many hours but on the flip side i got a new job at the hospital as a pct basically the same thing as a cna i am suppper stoked about starting next week and be working the in environment i eventually be working in all in all i am glad i am finally starting the process of becoming a nurse i can t wait to be done and im just learning to make adjustments in life to manage everything running has become my new stress reliever everyday posted by bryce and brittany kelly at 12 05 pm 1 comment friday august 13 2010 back to school so i figure i might as well make blogging a once a year thing been a year since the last time i updated here is an update this summer we both have been working to save up for school bryce has been working up to 80 hours a week i will be happy when he goes back to school so then hopefully i will get to see him for a little bit everyday school is starting bryce is going back end of august and starting to work towards a pre med degree right now he is thinking exercise science then maybe podiatry pt or optometry for me i am starting nursing school at weber yay i will be starting in 2 weeks with one of my good friends from work i am super excited to get it done and start working in the medical field whelp thats it for now posted by bryce and brittany kelly at 3 53 pm 1 comment wednesday september 2 2009 year one of laughs this last friday was our first anniversary it has been 6 years since we met started dating and let me tell you i love him so much more now than i ever thought i could we decided to celebrate and go golfing most of you don t know this but the first month that we dated he asked me to go golfing i didn t feel well at the time scared cuz i never even picked up a golf club in my life so i denied him to this day i still have not lived it down until we went golfing on friday it was my idea and he went with it so glad that i fixed that one it was really fun cuz we went to a crappy golf course that was only par 3 i just bearly learned how to hit off a tee the other day so lets just say it was quite interesting to go golfing i did get only 24 over hahaha ya i pretty much suck but we laughed so hard at hole 3 i believe it was i felt good i hit that ball so hard off the tee then it went straight for a pole on the side of the course and went flying back to my feet where i hit it ha i didn t think it was possible but yes i did it i guess lets just say that i have some room for improvement we also went to the temple that day to do sealings and went to our famous place from high school to go on a date red robin i won a gift certificate to go there so it was super nice and yummy i am so glad that i have been able to have my hubby with me for the past 6 years and i am looking forward to all the many laughs we will be able to have over the next 50 years i love ya babe brittany kelly at 9 48 am no comments thursday july 23 2009 life this summer has been interesting yes i know i have seriously have been slacking on blogging lately but this summer has been quite interesting to say the least our lives turned into exactly the opposite of what we thought it was going to be at the beggining of the summer we thought we were going to do summer sales in seattle for a phone internet tv company called elevate after a week we realized that this company was not ready for us to sell to say the least we backed out of that one fast all the guys decided that they were going to go back to what they knew best pest control the guys were off to dallas texas and all the wives stayed at home after staying at home for about 3 days i knew that i couldn t stay there all summer off to utah i went by myself to stay in an empty apartment with no microwave no pot or pans no cups and an airmattress i was definately living the ghetto life i did a cna class to start my nursing stuff and pasted the state test later that month bryce went from selling pest control in dallas to los angeles thinking it would be better there to sell later thaat month he flew home for my birthday which was sooo nice to see my hubby after not seeing him for a about 3 weeks when we were together we knew that we had to be together for the rest of the summer no matter what happened i just had to finish my class then i was to go out to be with him well he flew out to pick me up a coupl weeks later and we changed our minds completly bryce was no longer going to sell pest control since sells really aren t doing too well this summer and we were both going to stay in utah definately not what we thought we were going to be doing all summer but it has been the best thing ever that has happened bryce got a job with comcast which has been amazing the hours are very flexible and there is more security than summer sales he was able to go to school this summer and get ahead so he can apply to the accounting program at byu earlier although our life has changed completly having summer sales not turn out so great has been a blessing in disguise our lives finally are settling down and life is great after searching for a job for a good month i got a job a couple weeks ago as a cna i work at summerfield manor in orem it is assisted living which is sooo nice cuz i don t have to deal with the gross things at nursing homes i really like my job so far its been great so our lives are finally settling down we got an apartment in orem that we will be staying in we should be moving in florida trip this last month has been a crazy month but it has been great i got done with school in the beggining of april went to my brother in laws graduation at byu i and got this pic yes my mother in law had me put on his gown hahaha but at least i got a pic in some cap and gown right after packing up and movin out we spend easter weekend with my family easter time brought back memories of when bryce proposed to me for those that don t know he asked me to marry him on an easter themed date next on our agenda florida we went to south beach and attempted to see famous people all we got was a couple old nudie ladies gross so instead here is a pic of bryce and i we also covered bryce head to toe in sand gotta do this we got to go to the everglades to and go on an air boat ride this was bryces favorite activity he has dreamed about doing this since he was a little kid below is a pic of some of us before the ride we saw 2 aligators on our ride after our air boat ride there was a free show to go to yes this guy was so crazy with the gators i was shocked at all the stuff he did i would never put my head in a gators mouth florida was awesome when we had to go home bryce and i wanted trip to ft lauderdale florida it worked out perfectly because his sister lives there but will be moving soon this was our last chance to go i am nothing but smiles about this one i will be doing alot
