our family skip to main skip to sidebar our family friday june 21 2013 cache turns 6 we brought cupcakes to school for his birthday it s a little late but cache turned 6 on may 29th we didn t do a whole lot since the next day we were heading to newport to stay at the beach with my family and then we spent a couple days at disneyland so we went to flipside with hi harmony and haribogi and had pizza there it was kind of a crappy day since i had mastitis and the antibiotic i was on was making me so sick its not one for the books but here is a little questionare he answered date 6 21 2013 age it s been a difficult summer having three kids and two of which just fight constantly so we often just take it out to the pool it s so hot and the water feels nice i ventured out today and got in the pool with all three kids that was a little chaotic but the kids always get excited when i actually get in getting ready to head to utah next week it couldn t come any faster i swear my anxiety hit an all time high last week when we found a scorpion in cache s room and then dave found a couple more outside i think i have found my phobia i couldn t sleep for days and still put on shoes when i have to wake up in the night to feed roe ugh they are so awful one plus side of summer we all get to sleep in in the mornings i think i hate waking up more than cache during the school year here goes one more month of summer hopefully we all survive posted by our family at 4 11 pm no comments tuesday may 21 2013 so close but so far we had 3 nights of good sleep at least five or more consecutive hours and i thought quietly to myself of course because i didn t wanna jinx it that maybe this was it maybe we had turned a corner unfortunately i was wrong just another 1 am feeding i feel the fatigue just settling in and it s not welcome uh i am so tired i can t think straight anymore i fell asleep yesterday afternoon and was even confused in my sleep and couldn t figure out where i was this baby owes me big time when i am old and need her to take care of me here s to hoping for at least 4 more hours posted by our family at 1 28 am 1 comment sunday may 12 2013 monroe s blessing last week week we were so fortunate to have my brother and his wife and my mom fly out for monroe s baby blessing i miss my family and wish we were able to spend more time together but i feel lucky they were able to come out for the blessing dave gave her a beautiful blessing and i am always proud of him i know i m not gettin up there haha i am also grateful for the support of the family i have here in az we lean on them a lot being out here alone i hope we can be the best parents we can to our children and they feel like they can always come to us they grow up so fast and cache being in kindergarten feels like a whole new world there is so much crap out there anyway i failed at getting pictures that day so i had to put roe in her dress later that week so i could get some pics i feel like with this thrush thrush baby thrush thrush baby badabumbum baby for some reason this is in my head to the vanilla ice beat we have thrush trying not to hate life this past week with everyone having colds coughs fevers and then going to the dr because roe has thrush never experienced this little gem with any of my other babes and it sucks as if i didn t already spend enough time with feedings now i get to clean and medicate us each time also on a side note it s seems to be clearing up pretty quick so hopefully it won t be more than a week to make thus post a little more positive yesterday i felt like i really needed to sit down and play with lyla i don t think i do that nearly enough with her and now with roe it seems she is really getting shafted when it comes to my attention it s so hard cache is the oldest so he is always playing sports and his homework nightly demands a full hour if my undivided time roe needs me all day and i feel like i am just so exhausted that poor lyla just kind of gets my left overs i never want her to feel that way how do people with so many kids do it how do you balance giving your kids what they need but not spoiling them and causing them to have unrealistic expectations i had to put my phone down put my computer down allow myself to not have anxiety because the house really does look like a disaster zone and ask lyla what she wanted to play we had a tea party with real cookies and it was fun i love that little girls imagination she spins stories of who we are what we do and never gets confused when we pretend play i amazed by how creative and cute she is it was a fun day posted by our family at 6 16 am 1 comment monday april 22 2013 here we go again ok so this time i really want to keep up to date posts about what s going on in my kids lives i found this handy app for my phone so now that i am confined to a chair at least 12 times a day nursing a newborn takes forever maybe i can keep better record i would love to one day print it out for a scrapbook no idea how to do that but i will cross that bridge when i get to it life has been busy to say the least with our new addition monroe sun kim she requires ummmm demands a lot of attention sometimes i ask lyla if we should take her back to the hospital and she gets this worried look on her face and says no she is in love with her baby sister i don t blame her she is too precious cache walked in my room this this morning and looked over at roe and just said mom baby roe is so cute we love her so much newborns are a catch 22 on one hand they are amazing a miracle everything new thing they do amazes you but on the other i can t wait for the night feedings to be over to have a somewhat self sufficient child and to be able to have alone time for more than a couple hours i keep telling myself just a few more months but it s hard because in just a few more months she won t be this tiny newborn i guess i will just have to enjoy other people s new babies this shop has closed everything i read you a couple of books last night and the entire time while i was reading you kept yelling dah dah dah dah like you were also reading except very loudly today you walked over to the shelf where all the books were and you started yelling dah dah dah really loudly again pretty funny 1 21 11 lyla has started walking everywhere she loves her new found freedom 1 21 11 i asked cache if that was his friend brody we saw in the restroom he said yes and then said well actually his name is beiber i said beiber and he replies yeah justin beiber what i laughed so hard how in the world do
