ly glock and k frame holsters the brand new desantis gun belts are only an inch lager than my normal belt size so those should work nicely the brown holster is for an l frame smith which is the same size as my gp 100 pistols same for the speedloaders several of these with filters all appear new and unopened these are one gallon containers but there were some 5 gallon drums of kero as well a little bit of everything the two tanks are 100 gallon i really only took pictures of the interesting stuff there were also a dozen full barbecue bombs which of course i snapped up a bunch of this stuff will wind up going to the beta site at some point soon a lot of this stuff is actually redundant to things i have here in town as it should be never know if youre gonna be stuck at home for the apocalypse or if youre gonna have time to beat feet to your alternate location its always interesting to go through someone elses preps and see how they decided they wanted to prepare for the uncertain future im sure that a lot of cool stuff was picked over by relatives and friends before i got to it but i am nonetheless pleased with what i got there were a few good values in there and i have nothing to complain about 90 of this stuff will wind up going into containers and set aside for when i get the conex up and secured but it crosses a lot of things off of my list of things to get for the beta site posted in uncategorized tagged bargains beta site gear 9 replies candid camera x posted on august 4 2026 by commander zero 2 i swear he knows that he is essentially untouchable in this particular hunting district posted in uncategorized tagged cams 2 replies container posted on august 3 2026 by commander zero 13 well that happened twenty foot container it ll be delivered in about two weeks now im researching all the accessories improvements and modifications that can be done with something like this as soon as this thing is situated i ll start moving some of the larger bulkier things up there which will ideally give me some more room around the house posted in uncategorized tagged storage 13 replies hardigg pelican sarcophagus posted on august 2 2026 by commander zero 8 the missoula gun show was this weekend its always a fun time and i often get to see people whom i almost never see the rest of the year johnny trochmann wasn t there this year not sure why nonetheless there was someone there selling the parachute flares i normally get from john picked up two dozen as well as some sealed up lifeboat first aid kits i also scored what i believe is the largest hardigg pelican case you can fit in t pickup truck i was walking through the parking lot and there was a pickup truck with three hardigg pelican cases on it and an ote with a price and phone number i texted the number met with the guy did the dance and wound up with this monster to take to the beta site easily holds two maybe three call girls hookers its four feet by five feet and about 32 inches tall i could pull the foam and use it as a hot tub it is i think the last word for storing a secreted stash of gear to be hidden in the woods somewhere you could easily fit clothes food water sleeping bag tent pack radio batteries utensils and everything else you d need to hide out for a week or so anything else acquired at the show guns well one yeah found a 5 1946 vintage smith wesson m p pre model 10 revolver in very good condition i have a weakness for 5 barrel pistols and the old timey smiths are always well made guns a buddy of mine will be heading up to the beta site this week to level the area where i ve decided to drop the 20 conex tomorrow i need to go see the conex people show them the maps and google earth views of the area and access and then ask them if they think they can deliver that 20 conex to where i want it if so we have a deal fingers crossed posted in uncategorized tagged gear 8 replies spendy weekend inbound posted on july 31 2026 by commander zero 18 the gear survivalists leave lives on after them and the tinfoil is often interred with their bones got a text message from a buddy the other day a person he knew passed the wife wants to sell the house and move to be near the grandbabies and the guy was a survivalist with a buncha gear and everything must go would i be interested well yeah i mean i have a secondary location that needs to be stockpiled right so whats on offer water storage tanks smaller water containers hand tools holsters water purifiers kerosene heaters camp stoves coleman lanterns kerosene propane radios etc etc and naturally this potential money sink is taking place the same weekend as the big missoula gun show i foresee a lot of money leaving my hands this weekend however if theyre good deals then the short term suffering may be worth it i ll be heading out there this evening after work so we shall see what winds up coming back with me in the truck it s always an interesting experience when a survivalist dies and you get the opportunity to go through their stuff how much of a true believer were they what was their particular flavor of apocalypse were they well rounded or gun heavy you wind up trying to reconstruct a life by the things they left behind i like to think that if i die there won t be a huge garage sale or anything like that simply because i ve already made plans with the people in my life to make sure they get what i ve accumulated if i have to shuffle off this mortal coil the last thing i want is all my gear winding up in a bargain bin somewhere i want it going to the people i care about who can use it and in some way have a safer and more secure future as a sort of legacy from me posted in uncategorized tagged gear 18 replies article montana man hikes out of the mountains to get help after he was impaled by a trekking pole posted on july 30 2026 by commander zero 21 guy got lucky and check the pics looks like the pole pierced his skin skated around his ribs and came out the other side and then this brass balled mofo walks ten miles out of the boonies because he doesn t wanna pay for a helicopter billings mont ap david cifaldi and his two hiking companions were crossing montana s ominous froze to death plateau and approaching the top of the state s highest peak when their adventure took a bizarre and dangerous turn cifaldi slipped and impaled himself on his trekking pole as he fell the 44 inch 112 centimeter steel tipped pole passed through the flesh beneath cifaldi s left arm missing any vital organs and protruded from his back after conferring with his friends and considering the high cost of a helicopter rescue cifaldi knew who would save him himself if something unpleasant happens to me at the beta site the absolute best i can hope for is a 40 minute truck ride to the interstate and then another 45 minutes to town however there s a spot just big enough for a helicopter to land about a mile away from the property as it turns out you can buy airlift insurance since most insurance plans don t cover the 15k that it costs to get lifeflighted outta the sticks for 85 a year it seemed like a good idea however depending on the nature of the injury i d probably bundle myself into the truck and do my best to drive out posted in uncategorized tagged news 21 replies candid camera ix posted on july 30 2026 by commander zero 3 posted on july 26 2026 by commander zero 36 well first of all it was bloody hot up there even at high elevation 6000 it was still too dang hot the sun was just relentless good news was that there were no mosquitoes to worry about bad news was the flies were terrible annoying this was as good an opportunity as any to tryout the summer combat hoodie that i picked up a few months back the idea behind it is that being made of mesh it can be worn it hot conditions without making you feel warmer it offers camouflage as well as keeping bugs off you i d been meaning to try it out and worked pretty well there was a very slight perception of a bit of heat retention but it was way way offset by keeping the bugs and sun off my skin recommend so i had picked up a 125 gallon water tank last week and hauled it up there to situate it for further use how to fill it well if i pull the truck up alongside the creek is about 15 20 below the suface of the road and the slope from the truck to the creek is about 50 of linear distance my plan was to use the milwaukee transfer pump but i wasn t sure it would move water that far and that high one way to find out right worked fine i need to make a separate post singing the praises of this thing having secured water for the projects i had in mind for this visit it was time to move on to other things i had brought up a small barrel of freeze drieds to stow in one of the underground hmm what to call them caches bunkers hides that i had put in a few weeks back although they are not deep standing in one would only come up to your shoulders i still needed a small ladder to make things easier to get in and out problem is the opening is a 24 circle a normal width ladder would not leave you with enough room to mount it and climb down i had toyed with the idea of taking some 2 4 and making a very narrow short ladder but my brain worked the problem and gave me a solution before i had a chance to hit home depot for some lumber i need something short narrow lightweight and ladder like hmmm hey what about one of the ramps i use to load my snowblower into the truck yup that ll work you know what i discovered when its 100 freaking degrees outside five feet into the earth is blissfully chilly i mean it was cold in there yeah i need to clean it up a little thats waste paper from the backing for the tar strips used to connect the riser to the tank next trip im bringing the shopvac and some other cleaning gear situated the first of many barrels and closed things back up also brought along a few cans of spraypaint to change the color of that lid from day glo green to olive drab green next trip will involve some burlap and other camouflage however things seem to be working in terms of providing a hidden storage space also marked off an area where im going to have the conex people drop a 20 container i may need to see if i can impose on my buddy to go up there with the miniex and flatten it out a bit i should have done it a few weeks ago but i wasnt 100 sure on the conex thing thats gonna bite me because i ll need to rent the stupid thing again also got to try out the camp shower under real world conditions lemme tell ya it is a weird thing to be standing in the middle of nowhere jaybird naked for the whole world to see intellectually i know theres no one around but for a few minutes i was a bit self conscious after that it was like screw em let em see who the real heavy hitter is around here if you know what i mean shower worked as advertised at the end of the day it was great to be clean climb into fresh briefs and socks and climb into the sleeping bag slept well enough until 530a when the coyotes wolves started howling i have no idea which form of canid it was but i can tell you there were at least six or nine of them and they sound nothing like what the movies make them sound like how far far enough i really wasnt concerned but it was an experience id never had before so theres that after waking up i put all my gear away checked the cameras did another walk through to make sure everything was secure and left on the way out i ran into almost some locals all of montana is open range country which means is you don t want someones cattle walking through your piece its up to you to keep them out my philosophy is that i m not going to discourage ribeyes from being in my neighborhood might come in handy someday every trip to the beta site is a lesson for me lessons this trip i need a lanyard for my 10mm to keep it handy in the tent bring better drink mix electrolyte mix though necessary gets old bring iced tea mix i need a smaller cooler for these one man overnight trips bring shower sandals a towel and a travel soap container bug spray and suncscreen dang it bring some basic tools screwdrivers pliers vide grips etc to leave up there all in all a good trip no major failures truck survived the trip i survived the trip got some things done on a sad note i ve noticed that my treasured arsenal ak is starting to show some wear from these repeated trips finish wearing off the high points scratches etc but thats the price for keeping my place on the food chain posted in
