when i was beginning to write on my blog for the very first time since i got back from perth i have got so many things to write about because lets see i reached kl on the 17th of january and in a space of two months so many things have already happened in my life that if i write all in this post i reckon everyone who would be reading my post would go when is thomas going to stop writing man so i reckon i would break it up into several parts over the next few weeks perth really has been a huge huge part of my life and the 6 years that i have spent there is indeed one of the best times of my life my friends the people who have shown me love and care and also supported me i thank you all i thank you all for also putting up and tolerating all my bad habits that i have shown to you all you guys are all truly awesome people and the memories that i have with every single one of you would last forever life seems to be so different back here in kl being away from my family for 6 years is indeed a long time and for the first few weeks at least i have been spending time with my dad at least 80 of the time and yes at first it was very uneasy for me because i had to sacrifice a lot of my time just to be with him and talking to him at first i felt very uncomfortable because i was not used to it i was wanting to do my own things going out staying in my room and just not wanting to put in the effort to spend time with him however after a while after spending more time with my dad i finally realised what a fool i have been i know my dad has this bad temper in him where he always like to raise his voice and shout and scold people but hey that is the way my dad is he has been in the business line for such a long time that he has to deal with all kinds of people in his every day life that this temper in him is somehow instilled in him already i have learned a lot from my dad since i started spending more time with him and realised how much i do not know about the world economy and about life in general there is just so much things out there that i do not know and if not for my dad who else would be able to teach me about business life and about the world if it is not for my dad dad i love you no matter what has happened between us during the past few years and i cannot wait to spend more time with you i want to learn so much more things from you and i enjoy being by your were the lines that i sang with my brother s cell group when my brother left perth for good at the end of november last year its funny because now i am actually singing those exact same lines to myself because i too am leaving perth for good flying off on sunday evening cannot seem to imagine that i too am actually going 6 years in perth and having so many memories until a point i do feel like crying from the inside but i know i am not going to do it because i am strong really going to miss the people here because everyone has made an impact in my life one way or another even just a simple smile or handshake has really made an impact in my life i now seem to know that the small things that we do to other people really does have a significant impact after all i also came to realise during my time here that every person is different in terms of character and personality its strange because before i came to perth i use to think that everybody would behave the same one same thinking and same behaviour guess i was wrong after all hahahaha it is actually very challenging for me because i have to somehow tune myself when i am with different people because everyone is different mar and i got to be cautious with my words and my actions don t want to affect people in such a negative way or people to get the wrong impression of me even though that does happen sometimes i somehow would like to do a bit more reading or studies on human behaviour because i do find this area so interesting on how people behave and why they behave in certain ways that i do find it hard to understand at times i was reading the first few pages of this book by daniel goleman called emotional intelligence very interesting and fascinating first few pages because the title also made me so excited already will definitely buy the book to read when i go back to malaysia 2 more days and counting kuala lumpur here i come cant wait i am excited going out for dinner at one of my 15 2009 so long farewell i love to say goodbye i reckon that was part of the lyrics from the song sound of music movie its funny because i never thought of leaving perth so soon and because of certain unforeseen circumstances i decided that it was time for me to start a new life i was just reflecting the past few days about how long i have actually stayed in perth and gosh i could not believe it when i finally realised how long i have been here 6 years 6 wonderful years the number of years would tell my age in a certain way and somehow i am not going to reveal how old i am because i am old enough according to my standards well since this is my first blog post in like 2 months and also this is my first post in my new blog because i decided to be different and try a new blog and walah here i am posting a new entry on my new blog i kinda like this blog because i like the features and also the presentation it s just so cool anyways getting back to what i am wanted to post on is the subject of me leaving perth for good i will miss perth because during this 6 years that i have been here i learn a lot and i mean a lot about myself about people about the real world that we are living in today and so much more gosh it s just unbelievable the amount of things i have learnt is just priceless absolutely priceless i was reading this article by wayne palmer and he said something so powerful about learning and knowledge he said once we learn something new the knowledge is ours forever wow when i read that i was just so touched and it spoke to me so much that statement was so powerful that i made a commitment to learn something new every single day because knowledge is power and knowledge is the way to go today since we are living in an information age world this is one of the most powerful things that i have learnt during my 6 years in perth because i choose to learn something new every single day for example when i took the bus to work from monday to wednesday i would listen to a sermon or an educational material on investments like the real estate or gold silver using my mp3 player gosh how exciting is that that concludes the first part of my series on good bye
