009 by faizly i suppose being on the edge of both old and young it s a bit easier to understand why old and young think the way they do old people seem to think that young people are quite senseless what with the loud music atrocious fashion confounding attitudes and worst of all poor social choices namely hoobastank quiksilver lepaking and stoner friends reasons being wanna go deaf broke stupid and addict ar on the other side of the same coin young people wonder the same things about the same issues for example simon and garfunkel pagoda brand singlets looking at family photos and all the uppity society because wahliaoz not boring meh of course there are more serious things like the recent questioning of why 4 million malaysians and mostly young ones at that are not registering to vote and the counter target of why the local universities run mostly by senior members of society have fallen off the charts personally and seeing from the persecuted party s point of view we don t register because we don t see a need to mostly because nothing really spectacular or interesting has happened in malaysian politics to warrant us being excited by it and because the generally lacklustre performance all around in the universities which are mostly young people anyway so how possibly the best answer i can give to that is we will at one point or another be young and then at another old we all have our own problems to deal with along our own timeliness the only differentiating thing is not our age we can t really choose that but our actions in response to those problems which interestingly enough we can control there is a quote in one of the last books of the chronicles of narnia it goes somewhere along the line of the silliest of children are the most childish and my mama is even more darling to me than yesterday today i want to tell you what an exalted mama i have words cannot express what mama means to me there is so much to tell about how amazing she is who she delineates on her is who she really is that is the best thing about her she is true you won t be inveigled by anything she says she is so firmly grounded in her faith family and love i am so thankful and proud to say ahmoi bte tee kim kiat naimah is my mama i look forward to everyday because everyday we grow closer i am looking forward to being a father right next to you to learn and glean from i am so thankful that i have a mama who i can share hugs and tears with i am so privileged to have you for a best friend you are truly the best friend anyone could ever ask for her children really are the joy of her life her plethora of loves for her children cascade and it is such an exquisite site to see she is such a beautiful example of a mama she is loving affectionate selfless giving and so much more i am so mirthful i can come to you with anything and you will give me what i need to hear or help find out with such an example as she has given to me for so many things i hope i can live up to her and everything she has done i love you more than you know and more than i could ever show i am so contented that you are my mama and no one else because no one could ever replace kasumigaura spring tsuchiura tsukuba uncategorized on april 25 2008 by faizly dear gentle readers a couple went hoga2 part 3 will be postponed in the meantime as i m going to relish two recapitulations that would summon up fond memories of this year spring s season in japan besides bringing you along with me to some serenely beautiful panoramic view of kasumigaura garden in tsukuba pictures below are courtesy of kak liya who seems to have creative spark in photoshopping pictures besides her cooking forte that thoroughly blew us away i will tell you why later the lure of gardens has always been a sight for sore eyes among the foreigners and the japanese themselves though the typical image of japanese gardens is more centered on shape and form than raw colour talking about the styles they might fall into one of these features strolling gardens for viewing from a path sitting gardens for contemplating from one place just like the otani hotel garden with its 400 years of history this japanese garden is one of the most renowned gardens in tokyo the vast ten acre ground surrounded by the outer moat of the historic edo castle houses numerous kinds of trees flowers and foliage stone gardens and lanterns carp ponds and waterfalls offer a taste of japanese tradition and culture this garden also features dry landscape style no water but typically evoke a feeling of water using pebbles and meticulously raked gravel or sand rocks chosen for their intriguing shapes and patterns mosses and low shrubs typify the dry landscape style as i earlier aptly mentioned unlike kasumigaura garden on the south shores of lake kasumigaura featuring tulips that bloom from mid to late april this garden is about 1 km from the junction of route 125 and the road leading south from the tsuchiura station as you can see the first picture above this garden is totally an impostor in terms of landscapping a flick through the picture with the dutch style windmill would enough to tell you that it looks so holland gorgeous colours of tulips planted in orderly rows gently swaying in the lake breeze a very long wooden path built facing to the lake that wanders along through the dense undergrowth for a breath of air strolling are more than enough for the visitors to kick up their heels in their own time there s no denying that this garden would be a very apt spot for jovial sweet romantic couples to forge better ties together as well please don t disregard the couples embracing together tightly on the bench my gentle readers we spent an hour more or less soaking up the atmosphere while the photographers seemed barely putting off their stride to capture at all angles children were getting hyped up upon seeing such a wide garden for them to chase one another hither and yon everyone seemed to get rid of every hurramph of frustration and agony for the time being even though they knew that their stomach was rumbling on and on for that scrumptious carrot cake fried bihun sandwiches and roasted chicken ala kenny rogers kak azra betulkan kak liya kak azra next off we went to jaxa wait for my next coming entry i m still updating despite my limited time 10 comments the kunyah kunyah time brings back lots of sweet memories posted in feelings uncategorized upset on september 18 2007 by faizly so tonight after the terawih off we went to the milimewah superstore to do our small shopping bought a detergent canned food 2 bottles of mineral water for my mum and some cooking oil by the time my mum wanted to do the payment suddenly my mouth felt like chewing something not to indulge myself with a double mint chewing gum before going to bed nor the reason for staying up late but just to get something salty stuff don t eat too much of salty food if you want to evade high blood pressure or keep the doctors away just be a moderate in everything but food has always been stranding the people with no way when the lust for food dominates their mind as a justification they end up trapping themselves into it with no excuses at all it s just rm2 80 for 1 packet of party nuts it s just a short glimpse while searching for my mum in the superstore but the sinful stuff kept on urging me to take it away so aha the kunyah kunyah stuff finally snared me growling you might ask me why did i label it as a kunyah kunyah instead of a snack not the texture resembles the gum but just experience yourself when your hand is holding a packet of nuts how would your mouth react you know the answer pardon me if you don t get what i meant here or else i would say that you are not really into nuts everything was sweet sister of mine s thoughts that i couldn t rebut when i tried i got the solution myself and found out it doesn t go beyond the logical so we named it kunyah kunyah but this time the kunyah kunyah session was without her beside me to enjoy the nuts with suddenly i was overwhelmed by feelings of loss me kalau dulu rajin ni aa si eza membali untuk kunyah kunyah malam sama aku mun di tokyo hari tu pun pantang teliat tokyu store di depan rumah ku atu ada tah tu kan dibalinya mum au adimu rajin ni ya membali barang2 ani so it brings back a lot of sweet reminiscences while i was crunching on the nuts counting the days it s been like awhile since she left us for egypt 26th august 2007 was a date to be remembered when on that day my self esteem suddenly broke down i felt like a tonne of rock struck me and my feet were getting so feeble to walk any further seeing my mum s face had gone red with her salty tears trickling down her cheecks i felt like something started chocking my breath i felt like i have lost something precious in my life the sphere of downhearted made me even worse people cried while hugging each other shacking their hands just for a finale loved touch my big brother was on the phone with her as i could see her face was embossed with smile i knew she was just being mocked by my brother over the phone she even made several calls for her acquitances while i was pushing her luggage to the check in counter i was in the state of bewilderment as she told me my aunt zainun was sobering on the phone so she managed to coax her and we laughed as she echoed my aunt s crying voice vividly but it was just like a reflection incured her back 10 minutes before her leaving on the spur of the moment her face started to show a sign just like fluffy cumulous clouds suddenly enshrouded by the overcast sky that s how the sign i could see with no rumble of the thunder a light crystal clear of light drizzle started to fall and sip by the ground she finally burst into tears as she hugged my mum embraced her tightly as if it s really a very mournful leaving but i was still under control talking with my brother over the phone abang ui nangis tah durang me nangis tu banar sampai merah mua atu i set off a leisurely pace moving towards my sister i use to be very bashful but this time i wasn t my self esteem had no longer reigned my mind i gave her a big hug and the scent smells of her sweet perfume which drenched the whole her i could sense it strongly me jangan sadih2 eh ingat bb me pun jauh jua my siste r sobering ada masa nanti bb online k kita chat la yeah we often keep in touch till now but i sometimes found out kinda quirky within me may be because of we are distance away from each other no more morning calls for my brother she used to wake my brother up in the morning no more places for me to exchange every single story because she used to be a good listener and no more jeering the utmost no more kunyah kunyah session for us all the best to you there my lovely sister may all your dreams come true don t be too anxious about mum coz she still has us to take care her of as long
