wizard a colleague encountered a case where the space group selection menu offered one orthorhomic space group pccm alongside several monoclinic space groups although in the menu before laue class 2 m was selected the unit cell angle beta is about 100 degrees and there is no orthorhombic candidate supercell the symmetry selection then moves on with problems all unit cell angles in the m50 file are set to 90 degrees and the selection of the correct space group p 1 21 1 fails with an error message like the one shown in the screenshot i only have the attached screenshot i could get the jana files occupancy is negative and the other positive and their sum equals 1 this means the mixed elements are either in contradiction with the diffraction data or the diffraction data are not accurate enough to distinguish these elements the second case could be detected by fixing the elements in various ratios and seeing the effect on the r values on the other hand if the sum is not 1 it might be a
