had a lot going through my mind lately and i thought one day i might like to look back and remember how i felt today the last few months have been a worldwind for us so many ups and downs and lessons learned the story goes something like this a house up the street from where we lived went into forclosure and up for sale some time during the end of february or first part of march a house i have always liked since we moved into the neighborhood karson and i decided to put a bid in and see if we got lucky thoughts of preparing to move and what we needed to do to get ready to sale our house started dominating a lot of time and converstations about a week or week and half later we found out that our bid hadn t been excepted well that s ok we re fine where we re at preparations for more improvements that we wanted to make to our home when the weather got a little better were made a couple of weeks of phone tag with a loan officer to refinance our house took place the day finally came that we were going to sign all of our refinance paper work as we were walking down the hallway in the mortgage office to sign i got a phone call from teresa our realtor calling to inform us that the first two bidders had passed on the house words cannot describe how i was feeling it was so shocking i never thought in million years that we d end up getting the house all i kept thinking was it must be meant to be this is when life got really crazy we started calling and texting anyone who we knew that may be in the market for houses we took a couple of days and made a few improvements during the morning session of general conference i but a sign out in the front yard during the break between conference sessions i hear the door bell ring it was the bishop i wish i would have taken a picture of the look on his face as i opened the door priceless after an explanation i guess you could say he was ok with the for sale sign after only 5 days but many walk throughs and hundreds of phone calls we were under contract the same thought came to mind i guess it s meant to be this is where the challenges began after weeks of dealing with many difficulites with paperwork and illnesses we finally closed on our house a couple more weeks of date changes for closing on our new house and a big disappointment of finding out we wouldn t be able to move straight into our new house this part of the story i don t think i ll have to write much about because i fairly certain i won t forget what happened now we re here memorial weekend 2013 after lots of boxes lots of trips to a couple of family storage sheds and my parents garage a visit to the puppy hotel and mattresses on the floor of my parents already jam packed house i look back at how grateful i am for an awesome brother who practically moved all of our stuff himself he would want me to add that he lifted a fridge parents who are totally devoted in everyway to their kids and amazing friends and neighbors who have jumped in to help just when i needed it the most even through the stress tears ups downs etc i couldn t be more blessed as i sat in a sacrament meeting today one of the speakers talked about a challenge she was issued to stop for a moment each day to reflect on the ways we have noticed the hand of god in our life today i have truly been blessed with his help many times over the last couple of months i will miss the many memories that we have had in this house our first house korver s first room and bath our awesome garden and many many more wonderful things i am looking forward to the many new
