reveal image 4 remember the sneak peek photo from the previous post most of you recognize the wrist tags on sasha s studio dolls today is the reveal please meet the beautiful annie she is an a1 studio doll and i am so happy to have her join us here at sasha shangri la i redressed her her in a beautiful dress made by ruthsdolls yahoo co uk and with leather shoes made by her daughter lisa i added a sweet teddy bear and annie feels right at home i also added a vintage monogrammed broach that i wore in junior high school long ago it warms my heart to see annie wearing it we went outside today for photos and it is a beautiful day wonderful it was fun to take photos out by the old barn rick built a new bridge across the creek and it was a perfect platform for photo taking you might remember that i have 2 other a1 sasha dolls named abby and addy i will post the 3 girls together soon it will be an a 1 gathering annie and i thank you for visiting with us today we hope you enjoyed this post we uncategorized 4 replies sneak peek reveal image 11 this sweet girl was a sneak peek on the last blog post and so i am happy to show more of her today a couple of close up photos show the wonderful hand painting of this np girl i am thinking she is a bit of a transition girl painted sometime from the graphic style eye painting to the more feminine painting of 1967 which gave the np girls beautiful eyelashes this helped to distinguish them from the eye painting of the np boys that were new on the scene in 1967 anyway i love her dreamy eyes ️ so let s redress this new girl a beautiful outfit made by frances tricket looks wonderful on our girl i chose strappy denim sandals by sashapotamus because it is getting warmer here in west virginia though it changes dramatically day by day such is april i pulled her hair up in a high ponytail her fringe is very thin but her hair is wonderfully thick and shiny a little puppy found her right away her name is bree ️ absolutely beautiful detailing on this dress which is seen on this close up photo further beautiful detailing in this photo showing that which is normally unseen the dress is so easy to put on three snaps in the back and embroidery image 10 i recently received a beautiful outfit made for sasha by tricia jackson it is a lovely floral dress with a wool vest embroidered with a gorgeous floral array that accentuates her dress gertie is the lucky girl to model the dress she was so excited her sweet locket was a gift from her sister edith who resides in the uk ️ beautiful gertie in a lovely outfit she is so happy to wear a new dress gertie is wearing new leather shoes made ny natali they are so pretty and easy to put on natali was at the sasha festival last summer in ohio and was selling in the sales room i was also selling and trying to shop too and i missed buying her shoes so i found her on etsy and bought 2 pairs close up photos of gertie and her lovely eye painting by janet myhill dabbs you may remember another dress with an embroidered vest made by tricia shown on an earlier blog post i wanted to show you these dresses side by side because they are different lengths tricia asks what dress length you prefer when you order here are verity and gertie side by side in their special dresses i love both lengths and don t have a favorite lovely verity also wearing leather shoes made by natali notice the sweet scalloped edging on the leather so how do you know if your sasha shoes were made by natali they are very well marked on the soles close up photos of the lovely verity and her eye painting by posted in uncategorized tagged embroidery sasha 10 replies a new girl on the farm image 13 a new girl has arrived here on the farm i found her on the sasha bazaar and was able to adopt her with a good friend mailing her to me across that big old pond she was a true waif that the seller had to cut her clothes off of her over a bin really aged badly for years unattended in an attic the seller gave her a spa treatment and she began to return to life her hair was so bad tangled and matted that using a comb was not an option so her hair was soaked in a serum for 5 days the change was remarkable her hair was restored to beautiful shiny bouncy hair with curl on the ends more and more life was returning to this attic girl next she was placed in the wonderful hands of janet myhill dabbs janet repainted the eyes and sorted her fringe out wow what a transformation a beautiful butterfly has emerged drum roll please please meet rachel this sweet shy girl is wearing a ruth s doll outfit that i bought from shelly s site years ago rachel s blue eyes are beautiful and wonderfully painted i hope you can see how full and lush her hair is after that amazing treatment thank you for visiting with us today here at sasha shangri la i hope to go outdoors soon for photos of the sasha family members we had 76 degree weather one day and i was hopeful the next day temperatures plummeted to 18 degrees this wonderful unisex sasha doll arrived here at sasha shangri la last fall recently on facebook we were asked to show dolls that arrived in our collections in 2025 and also dolls that had left i have since discovered that i left a few arrivals out of that accounting and this unisex doll was one of them this unisex is my first one i immediately named him kris and yes he feels like a boy to me unisex dolls were introduced in 1967 and were made until the end of the first gotz production in 1970 kris is wearing his original ski outfit including his leather boots a nice face with sensitive slate eyes the ski outfit is nicely made his white top has ribbed arm cuffs and neck band and it snaps in the back his pants have stirrups and nice suspenders here is kris with another new arrival and a ski doll this sweet cloth doll with a handpainted felt face was a christmas gift from a dear friend she was made in norway by ronnaugh petterssen and she stands about 8 inches tall her outfit is wonderful and she has held onto her skis and poles and her box for all these years it is interesting to see two very different examples of ski dolls side by side kris and this dear girl are waving to you and thanking you for visiting us today they also wanted me to remind you all that the winter olympics are underway and skiing is an exciting part of the competitions please have a wonderful day
