invention in the 15th century johannes gutenberg introduced the printing press making it possible to reproduce images and texts on a large scale for the first time printed sheets could be distributed to many people opening the door for early cut out models and paper toys from that point on everything changed printed illustrations became more common and by the 18th and 19th centuries europe was already producing sheets designed to be cut and assembled some of the earliest true examples of papercraft what started as simple printed cutouts would eventually evolve into the detailed models we build today from architectural miniatures to vehicles robots and full dioramas the tools have changed but the core idea remains the same transforming a flat sheet into something three dimensional ou até mesmo do papel como conhecemos a jornada começa no antigo egito onde folhas feitas da planta papiro eram usadas para escrita e registros embora o papiro não fosse papel verdadeiro e não fosse utilizado para construção de modelos ele representa uma das primeiras tentativas de transformar fibras vegetais em uma superfície plana e utilizável séculos depois um grande avanço aconteceu na china onde o papel como conhecemos foi desenvolvido por volta do século ii essa invenção é frequentemente atribuída a cai lun que aperfeiçoou técnicas utilizando casca de árvore cânhamo e outras fibras naturais para criar um material mais leve barato e versátil com a disseminação do papel pela ásia surgiram novas práticas artísticas entre elas estão técnicas como o kirigami baseado no corte de papel em formas detalhadas e o origami focado na dobra do papel para criar formas tridimensionais essas tradições mostram que a ideia de transformar uma folha plana em algo com volume é muito mais antiga do que o papercraft moderno ainda assim o papercraft como conhecemos hoje só se tornou possível com outra invenção fundamental no século xv johannes gutenberg apresentou a prensa de tipos móveis tornando possível reproduzir imagens e textos em larga escala pela primeira vez folhas impressas podiam ser distribuídas para muitas pessoas abrindo caminho para os primeiros modelos recortáveis a partir daí now this miniature paper model of a small church was originally created in 2007 and was part of a series called desktop architecture at the time i shared it and the rest of the series on some papercraft forums then in 2011 with the creation of the papermau blog i published the series again in one or two posts these posts are still here on the blog but the download links no longer work so far i have found five parts of this series on old cds and usb sticks and not all of them have the same style or scale today i continue publishing these models this time with this small church surrounded by two leafless trees giving it a slightly rustic and atmospheric look the entire model takes up just one printed sheet including the base and is very easy to assemble the finished model measures approximately 8 cm wide 6 cm deep and about 6 cm tall because it is so small and delicate it is perfect for decorating shelves or work desks which is exactly the idea behind the name desktop architecture in the third image of this post you can see the small church displayed alongside another model from the same series the village house the link to this model is available at the end of the essa série em um ou dois posts esses posts ainda estão aqui no blog mas os links para download não funcionam mais até agora encontrei cinco partes dessa série em cds e pen drives antigos e nem todas seguem o mesmo estilo ou escala hoje continuo republicando esses modelos desta vez com esta pequena igreja acompanhada de duas árvores sem folhas nas laterais o que dá ao conjunto um visual simples e um pouco mais atmosférico o modelo completo ocupa apenas uma folha impressa incluindo a base e é muito fácil de montar o modelo montado mede aproximadamente 8 cm de largura 6 cm de profundidade e cerca de 6 cm de altura por ser pequeno e delicado é perfeito para decorar estantes ou mesas de trabalho o que explica o nome desktop architecture na imagem abaixo é possível ver a pequena igreja ao
