one crazy ride one crazy ride saturday december 9 2017 soccer is it our family sport still trying to figure this out this little girl has all the athletic ability in the world she runs fast i might add she jumps she is coordinated and it is all wrapped up in the most girly package her aggressiveness turns into friendly meetings with her besties on the other team her killer fast running turns into unicorns prancing in green meadows and when she is sidelined she cheers with pure delight on her face wondering why she has to go back in when she is so content with jazz hands and kicks of admiration for her fellow players once in a while we see her get feisty and she does something so impressive it is usually followed up by a cartwheel and a spin with a thumbs up to the audience i have often found myself wondering if she had been raised by ali or brooke if she might be an elite olympic athlete by now but alas she is raised by me a girly girl who tries to pretend their is a tuff side somewhere this boy has a heart that won t quit he tested out soccer for a season and didn t know if it was quite up his alley he later in the year played goalie and did a mighty fine job for his team and even surprised himself if this blog was updated you would know by now that he gave up his sleek soccer cleats the next season for a helmet and shoulder pads but i am not so sure that he will not blogging regularly you would have know that but her birthday happened even though it is many moons past miss layla has been a spitfire since she entered this world she came with more creativity in her little finger than i did in let s just say a lifetime miss l was wrought with confusion as she tried to narrow her birthday party down to tea party spa party dress up party fondue party so as my birthday gift to her we did it all miss layla s spa tea fondue dress up party it was a hit fyi for journaling purposes our rental in moscow one enormous shout out to jake s friends who without them islands you rain a lot more you have way less people and a large population of roaming chickens mamma chickens baby chickens and daddy chickens that crow cluck and cockadoodle doo at random hours in the day you re the island that really embraces the word chill you are what jurassic park dreams are made of and i think i love your laid back attitude i love your waterfalls your hikes your mystery but most of all i love that you let me visit with rand kauai rand did not love your healthy shave ice with natural syrups sorry he resorted back to the high fructose ones immediately i love your massive waterfalls although dirty from the small monsoon that happened while we visited you that kept me indoors with yummy food couples massages you know the horrible stuff it was a magnificent display of beauty thanks while zip lining over your beautiful mountains and touring overhead by helicopter once i came to the realization that i wouldn t plunge to my death puke or fall out the open helicopter door i really started appreciating your beauty god must truly be an artist this picture sums up this relaxing trip for me perfectly it just doesn t get better than this ok sometimes it does you know with the kids and stuff posted by shemri and gang at 10 41 am 1 comment saturday may 27 2017 combating winter in order to combat the freezing cold winter that idaho laid out before us the littles and i jumped on a plane and head for the happiest place on earth disneyland it went so smoothly we left plenty early got on our plane with no problem and arrived in time to play at the beach and meet up with cousins this is how it should have happened but it didn t we left bright and early loaded a freezing cold plane sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes without heat and then the plane broke down we then cried we did not get to california by 10am like we had planned but the airlines offered a taxi to spokane and a chance at a flight there but i married rand and when i called him crying he came back to the airport with mcdonald s breakfast and a plan he went to work calling airlines and worked his magic with a reservation specialist he found us a later flight he is a travel superhero in all the confusion we missed our layovers and ended up spending a lot of time looking at a glass window in seattle but in the end we made it i know how many panes of glass per section there are and how many cords per window just in case i go on a trivia game show one day and they ask we sat on rocking chairs rocking and rocking and rocking waiting and waiting and waiting this is me i was really asleep you can tell by the way i let my double chin just hang out there and don t even try attempt to put my hand on my hip to look skinner i especially love that my bags are free to be stolen and braden is the only one awake and apparently hanging out by himself in a big airport folks it s all about safety precautions that i take while traveling to ensure my family always travels safely together i must address the kid s bags it was about halfway through the liberal seattle airport when people started pointing and whispering about my children in my mind i was like yes i know they are adorable no they are not twins yes i look amazing after bearing children wink wink that s when i heard the guy whisper what do those bags say i then proceeded to finally read the darling bags that rand gave to the kids before we left the wording on the bag read never enough guns classy rand very classy but guess what much later than we wanted to we arrived at disneyland we met the cousins and i will let the pictures show the fantastic time we had love us some cousins love us some sunny california and love us some ice cream from disneyland this group stayed together without hardly any hangups lara was a maniac with the fast passes the boys were the runners and takers of kids on rides that make me puke and i i just kept up awesome amazing fun thank you dallin paula ian lara mical diana lee
