scrapsbygracie saturday december 9 2017 winterhaven village in rainbow why yes i do think that s a great idea lol i teased last week with these photos well are you ready to see what they turned into ok so this card didn t turn out anything like what i was picturing in my head has that ever happened to you please say yes i had this vision of a rainbow village just filling the card in all these layers yes technically it s rainbow ish yes it fills the card yes there s layering but it s not what i envisioned i added the vellum layer hoping that would make it better it didn t so why am i posting a card i m not crazy about i m posting it because i want you all to know it s o k to not always get what you were expecting sometimes it turns out better sometimes not will this card be mailed out probably not and that s o k it was a learning experience and i ve still got a ton of tiny rainbow village pieces to try again in the meantime remember those backgrounds i made will inking sheets to create the diecuts well one of them became the background for this rainbow village card i m much happier with this one lol it s very simple and similar to last weeks cards but at the same time completely different in the feeling it evokes which do you like better the rainbow version or the classic black silhouette click the pic above to see last week s post until next time have a joyous share to facebook share to pinterest saturday december 2 2017 winterhaven soa cards here s a few more you re not getting tired of holiday cards yet are you i hope not i ve been playing with the winterhaven soa again this time with the winterhaven village dies i cut the dies from black cardstock and used perfect peals mist on white cardstock to create the snowbanks i used both the top and bottom of the cut piece of cardstock for my snowy hills a little sponged ranger distress inks in the background with a little water splattering and a few nuvo drops complete the card that one was fairly simple here s a peek at the cards i m working on for next week s post and what do you get when you use all the cp designs party collection inks direct to paper to create all those rainbow houses and you can t stand to waste even a drop of the ink you get 18 ink smooshed backgrounds just waiting to be turned into cards until next week happy crafting theresa 1 comment email this blogthis now it is sold out but you can get products from past soa collections in the cp designs store you can get the candy cane lane soa products and the holiday magic soa products too for you holiday card making here s a card i made recently with the candy cane lane set for the online card classes merry making class day 1 homework part 2 occmerrymaking i only have basic embossing powders so metallic feature distress oxide inks and distress paints as a resist i just love love love how they turned out i m sure there will be more to come from this soa as i ve barely used the plethora of goodies in
