seth erin finch seth erin finch monday august 13 2012 oregon coast trip hey you guys we went to the oregon coast for a trip with just me and erin we needed to go on a trip since we hadn t gone just us since our honeymoon and we wanted to do something before erin graduated in may and before we got too busy with work and school and having kids or what not so now was the best time we decided to go to portland for one night and then spend three nights on the coast in seaside or we went and saw the japanese garden in portland and then erin freaked out about the driving so she was happy to run away to the ocean the beach was so nice our hotel was on the beach so we just went and walked up and down the beach the whole time we did go look at some shops also when it was too hot to be out since it was record heat that weekend in oregon the fresh seafood was amazing i was pretty excited for it the crab was fresh caught right there it was a much needed trip and we had a great time posted by seth erin finch at 7 04 pm 2 comments location seaside or 97138 usa sunday may 6 2012 six months later so i found this in my drafts and thought i would finally post it hello i almost forgot all about this blog our lives have been so crazy and busy lately there hasn t been enough time for anything extra lately we hardly have been able to see each other lately this last semester erin has had class monday through thursday until seven thirty at night two days in idaho falls and two days in pocatelo one city fifteen miles north of us and the other thirty miles south of us she has also been working at the college as well for eighteen hours a week in between her classes she also had to go in to a classroom on fridays for a certain amount of hours glad we had a friend to help her out there and had fun in her class with her too so erin had hardly any extra time she did awesome this semester straight a s she likes to remind me how smart she is compared to me it s true though i have been working like crazy i ve been at the same hospital still but i also have been at the twenty four hour clinic that the hospital owns because they needed someone to help out in the night shifts for them so i have been trying to balance between day shifts and night shifts it s been a little tough but i ve gotten through it so far ok i am still prn but my averaged out weekly hours have been thirty two hours a week so i have been blessed imensly i am very much looking forward to not having to balance day and night shifts it makes it a little harder when the night shift is a twelve hour shift from eight to eight but still enjoying being done with school and working we celebrated our four year aniversary this last week that s crazy it seems like it has been six months looking back at it we have accomplished alot together we are at the point that we know we can get through anything together i m excited for what else we ll go through together in the near future life is so much better with her here are some things about her that i love she is shy at first when you are trying to get to know her but once you get to know her she is crazy fun she is very witty and can make up a song about anything and i swear i have a new name every day it never ceases to amaze me what she can come up with she is very practical and great with money she would kill me if i ever got an expensive gift for her she wants something economical and useful heck with the expensive mushy gifts yay less chance for me to mess up on gift giving love her sense of humor i love her love for the gospel and her drive to strive to do whats right which keeps me wanting to be the best i can be for her i m so glad she s willing to be with me we had a great holiday season i ve had to work a little bit around it but it hasn t been too bad we spent it here in shelley with our families and have had a good time we have played alot of settlers of catan lately fun stuff here is a picture from one of our christmas parties week i was helping my dad and we got back to my parents house and the cops had the road blocked the road in front of the house the cops said there was a moose in the back yard the game and fish were there and they were trying to find it to tranquilize it so my dad got up on the roof and found it and showed them where it was and was taking pictures on the roof they went and tranquilized it and then i went and took some pictures with it and we helped them load it up kinda a different experience haha posted by seth erin finch at 11 43 am 1 comment tuesday june 7 2011 stepping stones ok i m sorry again it has been a while since i last posted but i have some pretty good reasoning first we moved back over to shelley id and moved into erin s parents house so i could finish my clinicals at the hospital in idaho falls and not have to take out student loans very thankful for them to help out i finished my last semester there and finally graduated from the radiology tech program woot woot there was a lot of sacrifice and stress and all kinds of mixed emotion that were endured during these last couple of years and i am soo glad it s done i scheduled to take my national registry test a week and a half after i graduated to get it over with i studied that whole time and was stressed out so much my test was in utah there was alot of other stuff going on with the family and stuff so after all the planning this is what happened my sister britt was moving down on friday back to eagar az my parents were heading down there for some business so they were taking a load of stuff for them down i ended up driving one of their cars full of stuff too down to utah took the test then the next day drive the car to az for them i drove down to utah early so i could have a little bit of study time well i parked down the street from the testing place and studied and when it was closer to time to leave i tried to leave and the car battery had died because i forgot to turn the light off when i parked to study my mind was freaking out about the test ok so i had to wander around frantically to try and find someone to help me jump start my car so i could make it to my test on time i finally found a nice guy who helped me and i went straight over there without very much extra study time or eating anything i took the 220 question 3 hour test and i got an 81 i was so excited to get done with that i went and stayed with my friends cord and whitney and as the day went on my stomach muscles would get looser and looser and it was aching because of how nervous i was before man it was so nice to be done with that the next morning i drove to az with my sisters stuff with no ac and no cruise control it wasn t to bad really other than getting my left arm fried from having the window rolled down i met up with my parent in eagar and dropped off the car and we headed to show low to stay with my grandma the next morning my dad and i headed for blackriver where we love to go fishing because of how great the fishing is and how much fun we have with all the people that are there the bigelows are always a fun and crazy bunch to be around we were there for three days and caught a lot of fish the second day i caught 11 fish on my first 11 casts it was amazing we fried up fresh fish that night too and it was amazing there was a lot of people in camp and it was a blast we got back on saturday night and the next morining decided we needed to make a stop in phoenix to try and find katelyn and jade a car you can read their wild story of why they needed one here so we went down there and called all sorts of people on the way down to see where to find a car and we ended up calling a guy that was leaving to australia that weekend and needed to sell his car and we got it from him so the next morning my mom and i drove the truck and trailer back to idaho while my dad stayed and put new tire on and made sure everything was good then took off to tennessee to take the car over to them and fly back later after he dropped it off pure craziness of a trip it was haha i got back up here and now i got hired at the last hospital i did clinicals at it is only prn on call kinda whenever needed but it is getting my foot in the door so hey i m excited to get my career started erin is doing great she just started more classes for the summer so she ll be pretty busy doing that and working at the school other than that there is just a bunch of stuff going on it s flooding up here and fires down by eagar are insane and everybody down there are evacuating erin s grandpa just passed away sad day and too many other things to add it is just crazy right now posted by seth erin finch at 7 56 am 1 comment wednesday december 22 2010 3 years ago today is our 3rd year anniversary it has been a crazy 3 years in the 3 years of being married we have changed both of our majors twice moved 4 times worked in 6 different places gone to 5 different colleges and have had 3 different cars if in 3 years i would have known that i would be soon graduating with a radiology tech degree you studying to be a teacher we would be moving in with your parents for 6 months and me not having a pickup i would have thought it was a crazy idea and that it wasn t going to happen but life is crazy as we know it and i wouldn t change any of the time i have spent with you for anything happy 3 years sweetheart on another note we finally moved back over to eastern idaho again i hate moving but i m glad we moved back over we are in shelley and we moved in with erin s parents for the time being until one of us finds a decent job which will be hard with erin is going to be taking 15 credits this spring and me doing 40 hour clinicals a week and not getting paid so that s why we are where we are at it is very nice to be around alot of family again i hope you all have a great holiday season and i hope that we all remember the true meaning of christmas that our savior redeemer and november 30 2010 we re alive ok i don t know how i could have slacked so bad at updating this i haven t had very much time but i should have set some aside ok enough with the excuses this is a little bit of what we have been up to we have been so busy with school and work it has been crazy this last six months erin busy with elementary education and me still plugging away at radiology we only have 2 1 2 weeks left of this semester i can t wait only these couple of weeks left of classes and all i have is next semester of clinicals then i m done can i hear a woot woot i was able to go to a couple of boise state games one with erin and alyssa and the other with my parents and aunt and uncle and cousin s husband we had so much fun it was a blast i was able to meet up with one of my good buddies and his wife jonathan and melina crosby who was interviewing for pa school in boise congrats jonathan and it was very nice to see them glad they are going to be closer up here we just had thanksgiving in shelley with both of our families and we had a good time except for the crazy blizzard we had it was insane roads closed eveywhere and it got cold afterwards very cold we barely made it to shelley and barely made it back to twin falls but it was a good time and i got to hang out with good company my niece and nephew they are my favorite niece and nephew well we are in store for some big changes soon 2 1 2 weeks until school ends then we are moving back over to shelley so i can finish my clinicals at mountain view hospital in idaho falls and erin is taking classes at idaho state university we are moving in with erin s parents to finish off these last 6 months of school we are very grateful for them to help us out so we don t have to have any student loans at all for me to finish school i will be the happiest man ever if i don t have to get student loans then we can maybe look at buying a house instead of trying to pay off loans well i need a job too but that s a whole other thing well
