luke voogt august 11 2016 the owner of a ferry dumped on corio bay has failed to outline a future for the vessel prompting victoria s channels authority to seek legal advice victorian regional channels authority vrca gave the owner until 16 june to divulge his plans for the ferry but had yet to receive a response the authority set the deadline after moving the queen of melbourne to corio quay in june the vessel had sat disused at anchor on the bay for nearly a year vrca chief peter mcgovern said the legal advice included how the authority could recover the expenses of the keeping the of the level crossing removal project an alstom comeng passing works to remove the level crossing at main road st albans and an x trapolis train passing level crossing removal authority banners at the soon to be removed level crossing at heatherdale station it was also the time that the public toilets at flinders street station were upgraded 10 years later they re already pretty nasty again things that don t work broken escalators seem to be a theme a decade ago the escalators at southern cross station were out of service as were many at north melbourne station and one down to the platforms at box hill station things i didn t expect to change here we see a train arriving into the curved platform at the old surrey hills station i didn t expect to see that level crossing removed a siemens train departing narre warren station another station completely rebuilt and a comeng train travelling over the recently duplicated level crossing at clyde road berwick since replaced by a road underpass scenes that are gone there used to be empty countryside between beaconsfield and cardinia road stations they re all covered with houses today v line was still using 1950s diesel locomotive a66 on services to bacchus marsh crt monitors were still in use as the next train displays at box hill station yarra trams still had prototype light rail vehicle b1 2001 in service it was eventually retired in 2017 and later scrapped and transdev still had smartbus liveried bubble buses in service on the orbital smartbus routes a trip to sydney i went for a ride on the xpt one long weekend arriving into sydney central i passed through marrickville station the double deck waratah trains no longer running through there with the bankstown line currently being converted to form part of the sydney metro system i also found stupidly complicated ticket machines still in use across their suburban network but they were becoming a thing of the past now only selling single and return tickets
