newbe s steam powered blog skip to content open menu home about search search for close newbe s steam powered blog downsizing yet again november 3 2011 november 3 2011 nwriter leave a comment it must be abundantly clear to all that i ve been far from active in world for some time rl has been both busy challenging and temperamental for quite some time lately it has been a little too much of each of these things read more just a quick update march 7 2011 march 7 2011 nwriter 1 comment as it has been nearly an entire year since my last post i felt it necessary to give a brief update read more this is most disconcerting march 16 2010 nwriter leave a comment i mentioned my issues with performance and noting that i do not experience these issues anywhere else on the grid including in my skybox i was told that this is an improvement over where they were before the changes odd then that i did not experience these issues before the changes and they occur consistently now that the changes are in place i think i need to find a new location to move to read more not much ado about anything march 15 2010 nwriter leave a comment well well well i went to my shop in steam skycity to see the new changes to the infrastructure fairly nice but it seems that the entire sim is now completely bogged down for me i don t know if its me the new infrastructure or some evil plot of the reverse vampires and the rand corporation i m guessing the latter read more anybody home march 15 2010 nwriter 3 comments ok it has been nearly a year since my last post that clearly qualifies me as being remiss well i ve been busy until recently read more i have a new blog yet another march 31 2009 nwriter leave a comment since the beginning of time or rather since the beginning of this blog i ve tried to keep within character most of the time there has been the odd occasion that i ve veered off a little such as my last rant entry well i ve decided that it is important to keep this blog in character as much as possible yet i ve always wanted to discuss other things on my mind things that interest me make me happy or perhaps make me upset enter www newbelius com yes i ve registered a domain name whatever that is for it that makes 10 for me now i think read more the internet is not the cause of all evil march 25 2009 march 25 2009 nwriter leave a comment ooc ok this is very much out of character but i could not resist but to comment on something i just read it seems that some people are just unwilling to open their minds with respect to new technology this closed minded behaviour clouds their perception of facts and can cause them to spew trash on the pages or ironically on the internet in the form of misinformed commentary read more my newest project the meta world february 9 2009 february 10 2009 nwriter leave a comment lately i ve been pondering the existence of the metaverse i ve thought about the various worlds out there sl there active worlds imvu etc and i wonder where we are headed the concept is intriguing but the implementations need work all of them read more and gone no not me february 9 2009 february 9 2009 nwriter 4 comments it seems ironic that as soon as i mention that i will shut down my shops i get a flurry of activity such that for the very first time since my in world birth i am self sufficient sales have increased and with the sale of the last of my land and closure of my outlet shops except for the 512m plot in steam skycity i am finally slightly better than breaking even but something else happened that truly hit home and made a very big impact upon me read more the time has come january 23 2009 nwriter 5 comments i knew that one day i would have to come to terms with the fact that sales have always been low but lately my sales have been nearly non existent is it the global economy is it that my products merely suck is it the particular shade of green in my logo i expect its a combination of a number of things read more posts
