lead n paint lead n paint painting an average of at least one pre slotta citadel miniature every week my new years resolution 2011 monday march 30 2026 old school adepticon 26 i attended acon this year for the first time in a while and had a really great time reconnected with old friends got to know some new ones better bought some beautiful new things and naturally found a few well used old ones a friend pursuaded me to try aos it was part of a deal so what better way to start playing a game than by entering a fun narrative tourney and spending a day being schooled i took the army i have painted with a few pieices quickly rebased to match the doom diver scratch built in 2003 needed serious cleaning and repairs sometime soon after further restoration i ll showcase it in more detail my opponents were all gracious and patient teachers and i had a lot of fun playing my rank and flank brain found the game a bit cluttered and abstract there was not a lot of opportunity for classic tactics and the number of special abilities slowed things down for me anyway i also got the opportunity to play a classic game of 6th ed wfb introduced and set up to meet via my local club s discord channel my gobbos swapped some chariots for some orc boys to face caleb s dwarves it gave me the excuse to bring a couple of classic buildings red pastic charge tokens and a pair of artillery dice that seemed to be firmly on the goblin side the resultant stubborn quagmire of out numbered dwarves locked in a war of attrition was inevitable adepticon was a wonderful show next time i m gonna think beginning of the year i gathered together the miniatures i had previously started but left unfinished and undertook the lofty goal of getting them all done before moving on to other projects i have with 4 mounted and 4 really large pieces i reckon my goal of a model each week was met the giant the demons and c series goblin sets i posted previously just go back a couple of posts last of the c21 mounted gnolls and a couple of minor conversions some additional ff goblins to fill in a regiment an assortment of uncommon figures star trek st range vulcan she makes a great priestess or noblewoman bases i completed a few more of the citadel marauder villagers and townfolk my old dark elves were pressed into service to play several games of one page rules fantasy regiments for the escalation based league i needed a new leader 6th edition sorceress on 5th edition dark pegasus i also re based this 1999 gamesday hydra sculpted by everyone favourite monstergirl trish it had never actually seen play before but performed admirably in battle other metals some old monsters grenadier fantasy lords 183 skeletal dragonmen to complete the tray there are 3 doubles a ral partha sabertooth who really didn t photograph very well grenadier mm49 medusa wonderful john dennett sculpt from the monster manual series a burrows and budgers warband a couple from oathsworn the fox with the raised sword and the sweet hedgehog the knight is from on the lamb games 2013 the smaller critters are by splintered light and the toad wizard is by the wonderful delany king https www delaneyking com new miniatures realtively easy to print and assemble this model has lovely sharp details i have not painted a crew for her yet and she may need more decoration i added a number of buildings to my growing town this year this one really stands out windmill printed pla black scroll games i added a new neighborhood to my morheim ruins these are resin prints by gothic things some modified this year s gentle goals citadel preslotta i m considering regiments of renown and c26 men at arms i am signed up for a couple of up coming mordheim events and have original models that need attention and new things that fit with them npc s continue to fill out a towns worth of everyday folk small groups of mini s for playing games whatever direction that leads from hairfoot jousting to gaslands and maybe
