jennifer s world jennifer s world monday may 02 2016 thank you sometimes i sit and wonder what my life would have been like if i have never come across this little corner of the internet but man am i ever grateful i did i have made many real life friends from this little bloggy world even though not many of us actually blog anymore thanks to facebook but i m forever grateful for each and every one of them since it s been forever i m just checking in to say thank you and i m still here posted by jennifer at 7 20 pm 0 comments thursday january 08 2015 happy new year well look at that here we are 8 days into 2015 sounds kind of weird doesn t it twenty fifteen or do you say two thousand and fifteen anyway happy new year it s a new year so i thought i should check in on my little spot of the internet and dust off some of the cob webs no pun intended but what i m really here to say is and you know some of you just might remember because i still have contact with some of my blogger friends and a few of you have been with me from the very beginning way back when my babies were babies some of you may remember the hard time i had when my oldest started kindergarten well it s happening again no not kindergarten yikes that would be a scary thought no i m talking a little bit bigger and scarier then that my oldest is starting his adventure in high school there i said it are you happy now repeat after me breathe jennifer breathe i m trying okay i m just not ready it seems like only yesterday i was sending him off to kindergarten how is he going to start high school in september crap i said it again so as you can see the anxiety is back the heart palpitations are back that icky feeling i get right between the ribs the overwhelming panic is surrounding me i m doing the best i can to avoid it but i m running out of time you see i have forms to fill out and things that need to be photocopied and i can t seem to bring myself to do them they have to be handed in to the school tomorrow so i m spending my day preparing for this evening to get it done and i m trying to accept that he s not going to wait for this mamabear to come to reality he s not going to stop growing up i mean the kid is almost as tall as me it s right there in front of my face but he ll always be my baby i just well you know i want to hang on to that for as long as i possibly can first day of love love love it i thought maybe i d give it a shot and actually try something i found instead of just pin it well here it is wonder what it could be it was so easy it was to pile up all the ingredients into the crock pot and i just have to say it was certainly the best lasagna i ever had it didn t stick to the pot it cut with ease and it was so flavourful i will be making this again for sure posted by jennifer at 9 30 am 1 comments tuesday may 21 2013 missing myself i have been thinking quite a bit about my blog i was reminded during a conversation the other day how much a part of my life my blog has been i have met so many wonderful people i enjoyed so much documenting my thoughts here then of course facebook showed up and that pretty much was the end of my blog i m glad for the friends i ve made to follow me over there but it still isn t the same as it is here in jennifer s world so here i am my babies are growing up 12 and 9 now when i started this blog in 2003 my baby girl wasn t even born yet oh how i soooo regret deleting the first few years of my blog what was i thinking maybe it was a mistake i can t even remember ten years i ve had my little world here in blogland but not very much has changed really of course the kids have grown and we recently went through the passing of a grandfather but mostly it s the same old same old summer is here even though it s only may although i m thankful for that as it has been a long winter i was working at a wonderful little shop and sadly it has closed down so i m finding myself re adjusting to my stay at home mom life once again which i have to admit i really did miss a lot i m sure there are many things that i would have liked to have tucked away here but it s been awhile i m rusty we ll see if i can check in now
